Survivor 20**HvV**No SPOILER THREAD**

I can't imagine how the other tribe members don't see through Cirie. I think she keeps an undercurrent of unrest going and she never contributes in a challenge. I understand why she does it. By deflecting attention away from her terrible performance, she gets the others to think about voting someone else off instead of noticing her. I really think she belongs on the villian tribe.

I totally agree!

I agree but I don't think she is a villian. She really seems to be a nice person and everyone seems to like her and confides in her. She is just playing a very effective game strategy, but not a villianous one. Now if she was going out and doing "villianous" things like sabotaging around camp or stealing peoples shoes and blaming it on someone else...now that is villianous. But she just places some comments or deflections (IMHO true comments or observations), steps out of the way, and lets the other implode on themselves :lmao:

Wasn't James on the same season as Cerie and Amanda? Maybe not......but if so, don't you think they are thinking "Hero???!!! Him....really????":rotfl:

James may have went about it the wrong way but he was right. Stephanie was a problem. I thought it was funny that Tom felt the need to stand up for her. I think he has a little crush.

I can't stand Cirie, never have, never will.

I wonder if the chickens were planted at each camp to see what the tribes would do. Maybe Russell killed a chicken to get attention away from Rob and maybe he didn't. It's all in the editing. But you would think that the Villains tribe would think "hey, if we caught a couple of chickens then we could have eggs!" but they haven't.

Wow! I just watched the episode online.I'm so glad Rob is fine, he looked exausted and I don't think he was acting, please. He is running his tribe because he is smart and Russ can't stand it :lmao: "Im the king" whatever! He had to go and kill the poor chicken to get attention, typical Russ.

James needs to take a chill pill and get his head in the game, blaming everything on Stephanie and arguing like that in TC was wrong, he has a target on his back.

No hiding immunity idols yet?

Cannot wait for next week....

I am rootin for Rob! I was thinking hto, that maybe he actually fainted when a camera wasn't around to catch it, so they reinacted that part, but the part were Probst was there with the medics, was the actual footage.

And also, remember Terry from the Panama season? I believe it was the first season when Exile Island was used. Terry won so many individual immunity challenges, and was the retired military pilot. He was one of my favorite all-time contestants. Should be in this season too. Maybe they'll do a 2nd heros vs villains with contestants left out this time such as Terry, Ozzie, and Tina from season 2. Too many good players in this game.

I had forgotten about Terry - he was a great contestant! I wish they had brought him back.

The hero team is in trouble I think. James seems different this season - much more aggressive. Getting rid of Stephenie was probably a good move. I do agree that Cirie and Amanda are pretty much controlling things right now. I always liked Cirie and enjoy watching her scheme. I hope she stays around for a whil.

Voting Steph off at this point makes zero sense. As a tribe you want to remain strong and she is one of the strongest. How about Rupert with his broken toe? Or Cirie?

From my perspective, James is the one that would not shut up. You only need to say what you have to say once. He had a valid point that became annoying and abusive with each time he made it.

Oh, I don't think he has a crush on her(he has one on me:lmao:) I think he(and Colby too) are gentlemen who felt that James was bullying Steph and stepped in:love: I forget where I read it but one of the guys from James' season said James' was a jerk but that wasn't really shown:confused3 Who knows?

I <3 Boston Rob!! He can do no wrong in my eyes:lovestruc

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't expect egos to be a bigger problem on the heros tribe than on the villains tribe. Of course there's still plenty of season left. ;)

I didn't really care for Rob on his initial Survivor season, but I came to appreciate his style on Survivor All Stars, and on Amazing Race too. I'm glad he's OK and I hope he sticks around. He absolutely comes up with some of the best one liners!

While I'm glad this isn't turning into the Russell show like last season did, I'd actually like to see him get a bit more camera time. I do think he's a good player, though probably not as good as he thinks he is. Maybe he actually learned something from last season and will play a better social game this time around.

I was surprised the hero tribe targeted a strong physical player so early in the game too. If they were going to go that route, maybe they should have gone all in and booted James. Judging from his outbursts this episode, and next weeks' previews, I'm thinking ditching his strong, silent guy image may not end up working to his advantage.

Terry was great! I would have loved to see him on this season.

I was thinking they had planted some there. Remember last season there was only 3 and they were given to the tribe. The only loose one I saw running around was the one Shambo let get away. This season seems like they are running around everywhere.

I totally agree. Steph was a real problem in the challenge and then instead of apologizing she just acted defensive and bratty. I was happy to see her go. I really disliked both she and Tom on last night's episode.

I wish James would not have lost his temper though - I think that put a huge target on his back.

I haven't watched Survivor for about 3 seasons, but Boston Rob brought me back! I adore watching him play. Loved watching him in his two runs on Amazing Race as well.

I can't wait for next Thursday!

ETA: Does anybody have the link to the guy who does the really funny blog/reviews of Survivor, TAR, etc?

Jeff said in his EW blog that Rob had the Samoan Flu which apparently was wiping out a lot of the production crew as well. He said one of the main symptoms is a pounding headache. I am sure the conditions Rob is living in only made the flu symptoms worse. I absolutely don't think he was faking it at all and Probst didn't either.

I thought it looked genuine too. He was shaking like a leaf and couldn't sip water. Someone did say on the show that he had the flu and should be fine in 48n hours (was it Rob who said that?). He's one of my favs so I was glad to see he was alright! Too bad Ambah isn't there with him!

Last night was very interesting. The heroes definitely seem to lack leadership which is strange because there are several who could step up and guide them through challenges. What was most ridiculous at the immunity challenge was when the heroes all jumped down to check to see if the blocks were in the right place! Why not just designate one person to remain on the bottom looking at the blocks and telling which to move? Talk about frustrating.

James was waaay over the top IMO too. He kept harping on Stephanie over and over. Ya, we got it James, you were angry because everyone was talking at once at the challenge blah blah blah. I thought he came across as a bit of tattle-tale at tribal council. What's next James, did someone at camp use your towel without asking? I'm kidding of course! Actually, I liked James on his previous season, even though he scared me a little! But this season he seems almost mean or something. As far as Stephanie goes, I've always thought she seems to think she should win, like it's owed to her. Don't get me wrong, she's one tough chick and I liked her original survivor season but this time around she seems more arrogant. Which I guess is a moot point now since she was voted off last night!

Anyhow, I love this season already. Can't wait for next week!:thumbsup2

I think there are a lot of "luxuries" this season. Planted chickens for sure, they got fishing equipment right off the bat, and have you noticed how nice everyone seems to look at tribal council? They have different clothes, their hair looks clean. Interesting. Me thinks the heroes and villians are being treated with kid gloves a little. It doesn't effect the game for me, but I do find ti interesting.

Add me to the camp that doesn't like James this season. Or Rupert. Let's get rid of those duds!

Oh yeah, and I loved it when Colby called Jeff "Probst". I always call him that and it cracked me up that Coby called him that!

Wow, it seems like it's about as polarized on the dis as it is in the Heros tribe with respect to Steph and James. I think the Heroes will win the next immunity because if you look closely at the preview, Tom was laughing when he and James were back at the camp and he was saying something about James being really aggressive. It seemed more like something said in victory as opposed to something said in defeat. If you have it on DVR, you can look at it and see what I'm talking about.

I can't wait until the Villains tribe has to begin eliminating some players because the Heros tribe has made clear where the alliances lie. I am interested to see how the Villains align.

That's what I was thinking, too, at least the part where Jerri first found him ans was talking to him. She sounded like she was reading cue cards and didn;t really looked concerned IMO. That's why when I saw the previews I thought maybe it was fake, moreso because of her rather than him.

I agree that James' mouth did run wild in last night's episode but all we see is what the editors want us to see. And maybe Tom was taking up for Stephanie because James "appeared" to be constantly running it down to her. But don't forget, Tom and Stephanie made an alliance from the get go. He doesn't want to see one of his buddies sent away.

I do think it will be interesting when they split up the tribes! Well...assuming they do. I don't see it going all the way to the merge this way. I would think they would shake things up a little bit. We are big Stef fans but I gotta say I did think last night she was a little much. And we are also big James fans and he was totally right with his statement. The first time when it was almost trying to be a pep talk. But by the third, fourth, fifth, tenth time, yeah it was coming across a bit bullyish.

I just want Colby to win.
