Surviving Fay Disney Style

I am :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: picturing you on the carousel with one arm going up and the other going down. Glad to hear that Aubrey finally wore :3dglasses , it makes the movie sooo much better. We're waiting for the next installment, its great so far.

Enjoying your trip report! Can't wait to read more. I'll be home all day so I'll be waiting!:)

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I'm working on the next installment now. Fingers crossed Ashton sleeps! LOL

We met up with dh just outside of CP. I went and checked us in and after a short wait we were taken to our table. We had a wonderful server, he really interacted with the kids and made sure we had everything we needed. I had asked him if it was possible to get some type of soy yogurt for Ashton. He said he would send the chef over since it was because of allergies. Now Ashton can drink milk, eat cheese, etc but for some reason yogurt made with whole milk bothers him. He handles soy no problemo! The chef came over and was extremely nice. He didn't have yogurt, but had several options that would work and so we went that route. It was some type of tofutti thing (yeah, i'm really technical):rotfl: but Ashton loved it. He made a huge mess with it actually!:lmao:

It wasn't long before the characters started coming into our section. Both kids were extremely excited to see them, but Ashton was going crazy. He was pointing and screaming (happily) as loud as he possibly could everytime he saw one of them.

They hadn't even made it to our table yet! Everyone in the place was in hysterics. We couldn't get him to stop either. And the closer they got, the louder he got. When they were almost to our table the handler (who was as nice as could be!) came over and told us that there was just a few more tables before us, it wouldn't be much longer. I told her we were fine, but to please explain that to A-man and she did!

Finally it was our turn and since a picture is worth a thousand words, well here are a few of them!

After our dinner we headed over to the Indy cars. Aubrey loves to ride this with Buddy and Ashton was old enough to ride this year, so Ashton and I rode together. This was also my first time ever doing this and ehh it's ok. LOL
Next up Aubrey wanted to ride the Barnstormer again. Thankfully, Mr. Rude pants was not working today. Dh wanted to do Buzz next so we head that way. Aubrey enjoyed Buzz as usual but TSM has definitely won out over Buzz. Aubrey wanted to ride the Teacups next but dh can't handle the spinning so he and Ashton went to COP and Aubrey and I joined the Mad Hatter.

We headed back over to COP to meet up with the boys but they weren't out yet. So we sat down on one of the benches just outside of COP. Well we no more sat down and here comes Buzz! So Aubrey and I got in line for his autostamp LOL and a quick picture.

By this time the boys have made it out and we were all a little tired so we rode the TTA (first time we have ever done this for some reason:confused3)
The kids watched the parade as we headed out of the park and made our way to the bus. We all got cleaned up and snuggled up in our beds and before long we were all asleep. Pretty boring ending I know, but we were all exhausted!

Up next, Day 5 Welcome Fay!

Oh my goodness! What day were you at CP? We were there on Monday morning for breakfast. This same handler was there and she was awesome!!! I, unfortunately, had to talk to her a few times, because Tigger kept skipping our table!!!:headache: Finally, Tigger came to us, but we missed rope drop:mad: But this was our 1st time at CP and I will say we enjoyed it.
Loving your reports!

Actually this was Monday afternoon!:rotfl2:

We stayed at WL in December. We liked it, especially being able to take the boat to CR or MK. Thanks for reading. It did rain a ughlot didn't it? Thankfully though, it wasn't torrential rains the whole time so we found it managable.

Yes, we were lucky we didn't get the really heavy rains.
I can't tell you how much enjoyment I am getting out of waiting for and then reading the new installments and I love the pictures.
Looking forward to more!

Actually this was Monday afternoon!:rotfl2:

This is so funny! I was looking at your picture and it looks like you are sitting where we were. And there was a family sitting next to us with a DD and DS about the same ages as yours. The mother said to me, "you look like you've done this a few times before." :lmao: So, I guess I have that "been there done that have the Tshirt" look about me. When I saw that picture, I thought it might have been you!

LOL, nope we were there for dinner at 3:40. Too funny though!

Hara you are so sweet thanks so much. I'm really enjoying writing them.

Loved your pics at CP

That last one with Piglet is too cute:goodvibes

Great update:thumbsup2

The pics of the kids just keep getting cuter and cuter. It's pictures like that, that were the reason I wanted to take my DS's at that age. Unfortunatley, my DH refused to take them until they were potty trained. I can't wait to see more pics, and hear more about the trip.

Your kids are so adorable! I'm sorry you had to deal with a bus driver like that---we encountered a few rude CM's along our trip though they aren't the norm and the ones who went above and beyond more then made up for it ;)

I see you also went and braved Fay. It wasn't all that bad, but to not see sunshine for 5 days can get depressing lol.

Can'tm wait to read on ;0)

Hi everyone!!!:goodvibes

I am going to try to update tonight. Things are just hectic here today! Have a good one!!!!:grouphug:

DH had been looking forward to today because we were eating with Donald and the gang. I have to say this is one of his favorite places to eat. I agree actually. The food here is wonderful and you get to see Daisy!! So we got up and got the kids ready and off we went to AK. Just about the time we got to the park, it started to rain a little. So since we were early, we made a pitstop and bought some ponchos. After spending a fortune for some sheets of plastic, :rotfl: we made our way over to Tusker House. I signed us in and got the pager while dh parked the stroller and proceeded to use said sheets of plastic to cover it. While we were waiting Baloo and King Louie came out to mingle with the crowd so of course we got in line. Ashton had his first encounter with characters he did not like. King Louie tried to hug him and he was in full out hysterics! Wouldn't even touch him. Baloo came over and he wasn't interested in him either. Baloo kept trying though and finally managed a hug but the entire time Ashton was just sobbing. Here is Baloo trying to console Ashton...

Finally it was time to eat! Now remember, I said how much we enjoy this and how much dh was looking forward to it right??? Well I hate to say it, but we had our first bad experience here. After we were seated and our waiter took our drink orders I waltzed over to start fixing plates for the kids. Well as I get to the buffet, I hear one of the waitresses complaining about a guest and to say her language was foul would be putting it nicely. Thank goodness Aubrey was not with me! I couldn't believe it. Anyway, after collecting my jaw off the floor, I made it back with the kids food and then was able to get some of my own. Once again the food was great, the characters were great. Aside from our waiter going MIA it really was a good meal and experience and we will do it again. Here are a few pics for you..

I could not figure out why Aubrey was making this face, afterwards she informed us that Goofy had stepped on her toe on her left foot.:lmao:
Next up was Mickey...

Who happened to step on Aubrey's toe on her right foot!:rotfl: :rotfl2:

After Aubrey limped out of the place, we headed over to take us a two week Safari. We had the best driver ever! His name was Brett and he was awesome. The type of CM you remember reading about when all CM's loved their jobs and had pride that they worked there. Anyway, because we were using the stroller as a wheelchair we had to ride the bus designated for handicapped persons or those with special assistance needs. No bother for us, we didn't mind at all. Because of this though, we had to wait as these vehicles leave at certain times, such as every 10 mins or so. (Not sure the exact, just know he had to check the clock since our vehicle wasn't full) So while we were waiting he made a few announcements and this man who was from NJ started being funny. He asked Brett if he could "sing us a little diddy" while we waited. Brett tells him sure, throws the microphone back and starts singing Jail House Rock! He actually could sing too! So then Brett started reffering to the NJ guy as Elvis! They bantered on the entire Safari. Elvis asked Brett if we would see any yellow bellied sap suckers and so from then on out, Brett would say "Look there's a yellow bellied sap sucker", I mean "Look, there's a lion!":rotfl2: :rotfl2: It was an absolute trip. We all thanked Brett for a wonderful ride and everyone was in stitches when we got off!

After our safari, Aubrey and I were ready to tackle Everest. Neither one of us had ever ridden this one. The first year it opened I was pregnant with Ashton and couldn't ride, then last year Aubrey was still a smidge too short so I decided not to ride it until she could. So we were finally going to see the yeti!
Here are a few pics from the ride...

We wanted to see Nemo and Friends after, but the next show was not for a few hours yet. Aubrey was getting hungry again and it was starting to rain a bit harder. Since this was the day Fay was coming ashore and the weather was suppose to be bad later in the day, we asked Aubrey what she wanted to do next. AK is not an all day park for us. In fact, it is actually our least favorite and if the safari and EE weren't there (along with Donalds Bk) I doubt we would even go to AK. I hope that they will continue to add things to this park, I do believe it has real potential, it just isn't up to par with the others just yet.

Anyhoo, Aubrey decided to go back to HS. She wanted to ride TSM again and this time she wanted to see Ariel. So we hopped a bus over and told her we were only going to do a few things before going back to the room since it was starting to rain a bit heavier at this point.

We made our way over to TSM and this time I got to ride with Ashton and Buddy rode with Aubrey. Aubrey again just loved it. Next up we had finished just in time for the next Little Mermaid show, so we went in there next. I wasn't sure how Ashton would do as he isn't into sitting still these days, but he loved it. He especially likes Flounder. So everytime Flounder showed up, he went crazy.

We had avoided gift shops, etc so far on the trip. The kids have way too much stuff as it is and I didn't want to have to deal with packing it etc as well as most things can be bought elsewhere cheaper. But we decided that we should probably let them get something new in case we had to spend some time in the room due to Fay. We thought it would be a good sanity keeper for ourselves! So after TLM we told Aubrey to pick out one toy for herself and one toy for Ashton. Well she picked out identical stuffed flounders because "Ashton loves Flounder and I do too."

We were going to get something to eat and then maybe one more ride before heading to the room. Well somewhere along the way, the rain picked up, Aubrey had a meltdown, dh had a meltdown over her meltdown and I had enough of both of them and declared that we were heading to a bus and would eat at the resort. As we are walking out to go to the bus, I slipped in a slick spot and fell. Now I still have not figured this out, but I landed directly on my left knee cap and my right leg was extended straight out under the stroller! My knee is still sore and bruised and dh thinks it will be several weeks before it is back to normal! I am happy to say though that we made it back to our room, dh went and got food while I dried everyone else off and it wasn't much longer before we were all in bed asleep again. Of course the kids played with their new Flounders for a while before falling asleep with them!

I guess we never got any pics of Ashton sleeping with his flounder, but it was identical.

Up next, Day 6 more rain and bye bye baby!

Another great update:thumbsup2

Tusker House looks fun minus the foul mouthed Cm:headache:

That is a funny pic of Aubrey after Goofy Stepped on her:laughing:

Poor girl though,Goofy has some big Shoes:goodvibes

Sounds like you had a blast on Safari.

If you didn't already, you should send an email to Guest Relations telling them what an enjoyable CM Brett Was. Nice to hear good things:goodvibes

OUCH to your knee incident.....Hope that did not hurt too bad in the morning:goodvibes

I love Flounder, too:lovestruc

Hey you left me hangin about EE:confused3 Did either of you like it? How did Aubrey like the going backward part? Will you be riding it again with us in Dec?

I hope your knee is feeling better. Don't you know you're to old to be doing the splits.:rotfl: The exact same thing happened to Rachel during our 05 trip at HS. She ended up with a mild road rash on her knees and hands.

Sorry! It was getting late and I was tired. We loved it! Going backwards didn't bother her at all. Yes, we will be riding it again and again in Dec!:thumbsup2

Okay, this is really getting weird....we were at HS the same day as you! Are you sure we didn't run into each other? :rotfl2:

What a day.....Aubrey's feet and your knees/legs. I hope they are better!

Great update.
