Survey on prospective ticket offerings for DVC members

I just completed it. 1st through 4th for me, AP,PAP,PHP,and UPHP.

All the discounts looked really good though. I would hope they would implement all of them as we all have different needs. I prefer the AP because we try to go at least 3 trips now. We dont do the water parks yet. But there are many here that make 1 trip every year or every other year and only may need UPHP or PHP.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that they do something. Maybe Jim Lewis really is going to make a difference. I sure hope so!!

I haven't read the entire thread so apologies if this has already been mentioned ---

The survey came from "The Cast of the Walt Disney Resorts". It did not say it was from DVC, which I thought was kind of interesting. It was sent to randomly selected DVC members.

It would be wonderful if they could put a real discount in place. It would be even better if they did make it across all ticket media so we could all purchase the passes that best suit our needs.

I got a survey postcard today too! But my survey prices were very different from yours. For instance-

The PAP was offered at a $125.00 savings (25% off reg. prices) which would equal- $374.00
Wow! That would be really great. It sounds like most people are interested in only the AP, but we really would need the PAP. Being at SSR and downtown Disney, we ended up going to DQ as well as PI almost every night. Plus, we like to do the water parks once or twice.

Who knows? Maybe they will offer a CHOICE for the type of discount that you want. I would be incredibly excited.

I got a card today. Just filled out the survey. All four options would have application for different people depending on need. I really hope for a discount on a non-expiring option that provides maximum flexibility. PH would be good. UPH with option to pick and choose days eould also work.

Not extremely happy w/ the proposed PAP not including DQ - DD9 loves this place and we always enjoy it on our check out day! I put my 2cents in another thread I wrote. If it actually happens I will have to crunch the #'s to find the best value for our family in reguards to passes.

I also recieved the survey mine was for a 15% discount on all ticket media. I told them I thought 15% was too little that I would want 25% and I also told them if they did discount tickets I'd be buying more points. A win win situation.

That's along the way I answered -- appreciate the potential 15% but would be thrilled at more of a discount.

Got the postcard - mine was 25% off APs and 15% off PHPs.

FYI - other questions on the survey, besides ranking the four options, included how many nights we stayed on each of our last 2 trips, and how many days we spent in the parks each of the last 2 trips.

Got the postcard today and took the survey. Mine was for a straight 15% off the different type of passes.

So 15 % across the board on all the different ticket media or just on one type?

I agree with what many have said here, that providing better discounts, especially on APs, would benefit Disney in the long run. Before the new rules on renewing annual passes, we used to buy APs and spend all of our time on Disney property. We also used to add days in Disney hotels (we don't have too many points) to extend our visit and get the most out of the pass. Now we buy 7 day Park Hoppers, and stretch them out over several visits. We also don't stay as long. This year we are considering a weekend at Universal to extend our vacation - if we had APs, we would definitely stay at Disney.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this.

How about all of the Above. If they are willing to Discount for us DVC ers they shouldnt try to force our hand. Their would be occasions when we would book three trips in a year and get the APs. We do that now but when the kids get a littl eolder the Water Parks will be an option. Also there might be years when we can only go once and might get UPHs.
I woulldnt hold my breath but if they do something I hope there is a choice unlike the only discount now on UPHs

I just received the postcard today and got right on to complete the survey. Mine was also about a 15% discount for all types of admission. They questioned me about our last two trips as well. Basically, my replies were that as much as I would appreciate a 15% discount, I thought it should be more. I also outlined what others have: that discounts on APs would most likely increase the number of visits per year, thereby increasing spending on food/restaurants/extra hotel days/souveniers. Any perceived "loss" by offering the discount would more than be made up by the extra $$s spent on multiple trips.

I would love to see this park admission discount become a reality.

I just completed the Survey. Ours was 25% discount on APs and PAPs and 15% on UPHs and PHPs. I mentioned in the comments that it should be higher than 15%. I also indicated that we would probably purchase APs for our upcoming trip if the price was right.
Like others I mentioned that APs would probably lead to more frequent trips and/or more time in the Parks.

We received the postcard today and mine was the 15% across the board. I would love to see any type of ticket discounts, and the more the merrier!! (More trips!)

We received ours today took the survey. It was also 15% across the board.

I wonder how long they will ponder the results. It would be nice to see some type of discount implemented soon so that we can all benefit.

We received the postcard yesterday (June 28th). They asked us to complete it by June 30th. We received the survey with the pricing structure listed below. We found the 25% discount on APs the most desirable for us. However, we might end up spending more than the difference in additional point purchases! We also were happy to see that DVC is considering better discount levels than the current 10% on UPHs. Hopefully, they will implement more than one of these options thus allowing flexibility for future vacation planning.

PAP at a $125.00 savings (25% off reg. prices) - $374.00
Cost for kid's tickets is 80% of the adult tickets.

The UPH would be 15% off:

2/3- $150.00
3/4- $201.00
4/5- $240.00
5/6- $268.00
6/7- $296.00
7/8- $325.00

PHP- would also be 15% off...
Examples
5days (2 pluses)- $239.00
6 (3 pluses)- $265.00
7 (4 pluses) - $291.00

AP
save $100.00 (25% again) - $279.00

Got mine yesterday, it was the 25% off AP's one. We do own 500+ points, if anyone is tracking this. I emphasized in the comments that we were not planning to go back to WDW for the next couple of years, but an AP discount might cause us to reconsider. Yes, DD and I are going for a week in August, but we have a 5 day PHP for that. If we were able to upgrade to an AP for not too much more, we'd be back in Dec. after our cruise, and would find a couple of more dates next year!

I also commented that we much prefer the AP discount option, because we don't spend full days in the parks. I put some thought into my comments, hope someone reads it!

My card stated that the password would remain active until June 30th. So I am guessing that is when the survey will be completed and then they will need time to ponder the results. Hopefully, we will hear something by Summer's end.
