Survey increase pin chances?

I logged on to WDW today to modify our vacay options, and received a pop-up to do a survey regarding the website. I completed it - though it was a bit long. Any chance that this might increase our pin chances? I'm hoping for a 20/30/40 for Late Nov/Early Dec.

ETA: This is the first time I've received a survey request after probably 100 site visits in the past couple years.

I know I've heard from a few posters, they received a PIN offer after saving "potential" reservations on the Disney site. The DW and I have also done this, we've received PINS but not for the dates we have made the "potential" reservations.

i did that survey a few days ago too...I have the % discount and am paying for dining right now (june) ...its is really bothering me that I am OOP for something we usually get for free, I may actually cancel and wait till august and then cancel June/Oct all together........ I guess disney has spoiled us for so long, I expect a great deal....

I don't know if it makes a difference; I always did the surveys we got after we got home, and I think in 10 years we may have gotten one pin code.

I have been doing that survey everytime it pops up and never in last 6 months have i gotten a code and yes i add there email to my list of allowed, come on disney show me the love....

We received the 20/30/40 pin on Feb 1. I had taken others' advice by logging into WDW's website, playing with dates, packages, etc. When I was about to navigate away from the page, a pop up came up to ask me why I didn't book my vacation. It gave several choices and room for comments. In the comments section, I typed that I was waiting for the 20/30/40 pin and would not be able to book without it. I don't know if that's what did the trick, but about a week later I received the emailed pin.

The last one just ran through JULY!!! We are waiting for one that runs at least through the end of August! And we want room only discount. How hard can that be?

I didn't do the survey, but about a month ago I was pricing and re-pricing different packages for different dates throughout the year. I made sure to save a couple of them, as to follow the advice I had read somewhere and lo and behold less than a week ago I got a code (2 actually since I must've have created accounts with both my email addresses) for free QS dining!!

I haven't seen anyone else on the board yet that seems to have this code, but definitely spend some time on their site and make sure to add and remove options and save both. I even saved some packages with a mod resort and some with a value. Pin only applies for travel until July 3, so I don't think I'll get to use it, but for those of you planning to travel before then I can definitely tell you to keep trying since the PINs are out there!

Seriously---I don't think it makes a difference. I have done a survery for almost every trip, we have been passholders for years, we are D23 members, we sign up for everything we see, we have taken advantage of bouncebacks, I have priced and saved various offers on the Disney site, I have written letters to Disney when things were less than magical, I have written letters after trips when things were wonderful, and we have never gotten a PIN.

Then again, we can't even get them to send us the flippin' Mickey Monitor, so a PIN is probably asking waaaaay too much.

They claim it is random and it sounds like it is.

I am doing everything I can think of. Today I chatted with a CM online asking resort questions. I will see if that helps. I really need a free dining code so this vacation will not break the bank.

I just got a 20/30/40 pin today! I ordered the planning dvd 2-3 months ago. I saved a trip plan on the website a few days ago (based on speculation I found on Disboards that it may net me a pin), and *YIPPIE* I got the pin via email today. It is good through the end of the year (with a few blackout dates).

Poly, here we come for our very first WDW vacation for our family of 5 this September!

I hope the survey gets you a pin- otherwise- try saving different options on their website- let it sit there for a few days- and see what happens. You never know- worth a try.

I did the survery also and got really excited when it said they may want to contact me in the future and took my email. Nothing yet, still hoping.
Never done DP before, you have to give up any other discounts when you do it, right? We have GP room discount for June now. No tix yet.

In December I did the save offers thing, got online help and did survey. Got pin about a week later. the 20/30/40 good till December

In January I did save offers thing, got online help and did survey for a friend. 2 days later she got a pin. and just told me this morning she got one on the mail this week too. she got 20/30/40 good till July

Yesteryday I just ran an offer to check rates to answer a question on here, got the survey said I didn't book b/c I wanted free dining. and poof today I got the pin for free QSDP good till July

LOL! I did the same thing. Strange thing - the CM contacted me on line. Starting typing in wanting to know if I had any questions. I just started chatting with the CM figuring, why not. I told the CM I had already booked, but was hoping they would extend the discount room offer to cover the days we were going because we want to upgrade to the AK resort and also let the CM know I was hoping for a PIN. She did type in, PINS are random. Very nice conversation and lllloooooooonnnnnnnngggggggg.

Hope you don't mind that I borrowed your idea! I put that in as my response the last two times it popped up -- I hope I get a PIN one of these days!

I posted here a couple days ago stating that I recieved a 20/30/40 pin after ordering the dvd and saving a trip in the website.

Well...I just got that pin 2 days ago. Than- today- the survey popped up for me. I did it. So- I'll let you know if I get another pin. But why would they offer a survey AND a pin- to someone they just gave a pin to? I bet the survey has nothing to do with recieving a pin. The survey asked questions about the website as a whole (TV programming, shopping, kids areas) - No emphasis on trip planning.
