Although this will be our second trip to WDW, I didn't do a trip report with the first. I'm hoping to do one for this trip and so I'm starting my PTR now.
Introductions
DH - a 40-something high school math and physics teacher, who loves logic, all things geeky, and fluffy animals. He's a big softy who loves Disney World as much as anyone. His favorite ride is Mission Space Orange. He loves Flame Tree BBQ.
DS - My handsome, quirky, geeky son is 13 years old and in the 7th grade. He's a sweet-natured boy who is a brown belt in karate, plays second chair trumpet in band, gets straight As at school. I've had teachers call to tell me how wonderful he is, and I am not joking. He is a bookworm who started kindergarten reading at a third grade level. He loves anything to do with computers, machinery, and wants to be an engineer. He is anxious to design a car in Test Track 2.0.
DD - She's 10 and in the fifth grade, loves all animals, and draws amazing cartoons. She also gets straight As, loves to read and write, gives herself elaborate manicures, is a friend to every kid at school, and wants to either be a cartoonist, a zookeeper, or a veterinarian someday. She is the best speller in her school and is on the Safety Patrol. When she is in sixth grade, she hopes to play the saxophone in band. She loves Disney, and when we left after our trip in 2011 she sobbed so hard that CMs came running to try and help.
Me - I'm a 40 year old, stay-at-home mom. I make sure the household runs smoothly, run errands, enter sweepstakes, do surveys, and take care of everyone else. I also can't even talk about Disney without
. Our trip in 2011 was my first visit to WDW, but I had dreamed of going every since I was a little girl.
The Plan
We are going in June of 2012, staying for 6 nights, 7 days at Art of Animation Little Mermaid. The kids have been told that we are taking a (boring) road trip around southern Georgia, with a day's side trip to the town their dad lived in for two years in Florida. We hope to pretty much keep the secret of our actual destination until we drive onto property.
