I was so happy that we got in. I told Kadence that by being nice and polite, good things happen.

Hello fellow WIsconsinite! I love Mitchell field. My Daddy and Grandfather use to fly out of there with small planes back when I was little! It's a great airport.

I loved the theme of BOG. It was perfect. I guess that West Wing could be a little spooky.

It was pretty dark in the West Wing, but l personally loved the ambience.

I figured you can't go wrong on a cupcake, but I was a good one!

On to Gaston’s Tavern, we finally get to see it in the daytime!

He doesn’t think too much of himself does he?

It was so crowded inside, as it’s was small, so we decided to check out the Village Gifts.

Oh, I could have gone a bit crazy in there! Such cute stuff!

I regret not getting Kadence the cute Belle shirt on the bottom right.

The Mine Coaster under construction. Could we get lucky and get an opening this Nov? Probably not, but I can hope!

Off to The Little Mermaid Journey Under the Sea ride.

And so began the “let’s ride it again” and again, and again from Kadence. In all we rode it 7 or 8 times. No wait, walk on each time. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we took full advantage of it!

During one of our rounds we stopped for a PP to take some pictures of Kadence and we got a Magic shot as well.

Back to our mission of riding

I got a picture of the little blue crab friend!

We decided against getting another M&G with Ariel, but if I had known the pictures from MNSSHP hadn’t turned out, I would have.

Apparently Rapunzel needed some attention.

Beast Castle again! LOL

Time to visit the bathrooms, but there were too many women in side to get a nice picture, so I gave up.

Ok, back to Little Mermaid, Kadence was in love with this ride.

Ok, how about one more picture of Beasts Castle!

Ok, we had spent 4 great hours inside the New Fantasy Land area. Our next decision was do we stay and have dinner at BOG, or do we keep our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern? Our ADR was at 4:35pm and we were afraid we would get charged for it if we didn’t go. We had a wonderful afternoon and we thought we’d try to get in BOG the next time we were in MK later in the week. So we left to head towards Liberty Tree.

We checked in at 4:10 and were told to wait. Actually the CM at the desk was not very pleasant. We found a bench seat and waited. Kadence saw the crayons on a nearby table and colored. 4:35 came and went; others were seated that had come after 4:30. Soon it was coming on to 5 and we were still waiting, John went up to the desk, and it turned out the desk CM hadn’t marked that we were there! UGH.

Another CM had been standing there and heard and I think he was in charge or something because he immediately took over, printed a slip and had us seated in minutes. He apologized for the wait, had a waiter serving us right away.


Should have stayed in Fantasy Land.

So our Drinks, and salad and buns came out fast.

Kadence was given some postcards and she choose to color on them. We had barely finished our salad and out came our food! It was all very good, with the exception of the roasted veggies which I believe were turnips. We enjoyed the rest, even got seconds on the turkey and stuffing.

For desert there was a warm fruited cake thingy with yummy Vanilla ice cream on it. It was good.

We were so stuffed! Over-ate way too much. So now, what do we want to do?
I wanted to stay for Wishes, John was ok with that, but was tired, and Kadence asked f we could go back to AoA and watch the outdoor movie. She was so fascinated by that, I don’t know why?
We had been up very early, we had done A LOT that day, and we still had another MK day, so we went with Kadence’s idea.

WE got lucky and a bus had just gotten there, with a small line waiting. We got a seat and were back at AoA just as the movie was starting. We grabbed our mugs from the room, went back to get seats, John ran to fill the mugs and we watched Dumbo together. It was a great day. After the movie we were so tired, right to bed for us all.

About your ADR at Liberty Tree...I thought they only charged you if you had a reservation that required a you giving credit card when you made it, such as at BOG, any of the "signature" restaurants or any of the show dinners (Hoop de doo, Poly Luau, etc.)? Does anyone here know for sure? We have at least one ADR I can think of (at the Plaza, for dinner) that might get cancelled fairly last minute based upon how our day goes.

Nov 7th
Animal Kingdom

After a great long sleep, we got up, got ready and got breakfast in the food court. Our choices were the breakfast platters, and I did not take pictures. Bad DISer!

Out to the bus stop we went and didn’t have to wait long for an Animal Kingdom bus to come along. It was a full bus, so I think our low crowds were not going to follow us from yesterday.

We got there just before rope drop, and followed the masses to Africa to our first ride of the day, Kilimanjaro Safari. It wasn’t long to wait and soon we were bumping along.

The first few animals were hiding or soaking in the sun

The alligator/crocodiles? Were sunning themselves,

The Giraffes were blending into the trees for us,

This tree wasn’t high enough to hide behind

The elephant, singular. Where the heck are they all! Sleeping I bet.

Ok, this was the moment of truth. Kadence had seen a TR by our friend Janet. Her daughter Katie had ridden Expedition Everest and got a cute little Yeti stuffed animal. I told Kadence if she rode EE for the first time, I’d get her a Yeti too. Well remember back when I called her a chicken butt, yup, she was hemming and hawing the whole time. I didn’t push, hard, but kinda stretched the truth of the ride saying it was like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which she loves. So she wanted to check it out and decide.
We headed over to Asia

She found some drums along the way and played

We took lots of pictures with the Tree of Life, again with Kadence doing her thang!

As we pasted Flights of Wonder, which we hadn’t done before, the show was going to start soon. I think it was stalling, but Kadence decided that we needed to stay and watch it.

A CM with an owl came out and talked with the crowd gathered around. Then we found our seats, and the show began. It was pretty neat to watch all the birds flying around.

The CMs were pretty funny, and I even caught the bird flying with a dollar!

After the show, we saw a CM making things out of leaves. She gave Kadence a bird and a certificate for learning about her country. I took a few pictures while waiting

Then we resumed our way towards EE.

We saw some gross bats! Gives me the shivers!

Dum Dum Dum! There it is! I’m so scared!!

So, I handed everything over to John but my iPhone to take some pictures with. I figured my DSLR would be too cumbersome to deal with, and I had insurance on the phone! LOL

The wait time was around 20 mins, but I know the queue was interesting enough to hold our attention.
We went through the queue and took some pictures that interested us along the way
