What kid doesn't like a meal served in a bucket? It's amazing the little things that make 'em smile.

The Photopass photographer was really sweet to take a lot of pictures of ya'll. Usually, they just snap a couple and move on to the next. By the way, tell Kadence that I'm lovin' her flip-flops.

She thought the bucket was pretty cool, she now keeps her collection of little rubber ducks in it.

He was such a nice PP! I've had a couple meh ones, so this was nice.

I am finally caught up!
Slowly but surely I am getting back to normal life and reading TR's!

I bet Kadence will like EE better when her cousin rides it with her. Claire also has the middle name of chicken and she loved EE, but I think mostly because her first ride was with her cousin. She still thinks Big Thunder Railroad is very scary though. I don't even think we ever rode it that trip.
I am so jealous of your daytime photos of NFL. I only got to see it in the dark and every time I see day time photos, my heart has a pang. I am happy to have seen it, but I want some awesome day time shots now too.

I had hoped to cruise this fall, but with everything that has been going on, I don't see it happening now. Maybe I can get the husband to look at some trip later this year, but you know how he is. Kadence goes back and forth weekly about EE. Just this weekend Justice spent the night and they talked about it. Kadence asked if she could get the biggest Yeti if she rode. Nice try kid.

Getting into the NFL was the biggest piece of luck ever. I just kept saying how this was a once in a lifetime, and how it would never happen again. It certainly is a very happy memory.

I'd so bring you along! Grandma's got room in her room!

So take my earlier advice, bring the beer to the barn, (in the manner of dress we discussed) and smile sweetly and talk him into it!Tell him he needs to get away and relax after everything.

OR Claire can put on the puppy face (Kadence thinks that face works) and talk with him!

]Happy Labor Day! It's also a sad day for me, because that means back to work for the school year! I can't tell you how much I love having the summers off.
Oh well, that just means I have 69 days till DISNEY!!

Ok, let me wrap up my AK day and then I'll start getting on with the TR.


We got to the bus stop exactly at 4pm, and our luck would have it that the bus driver was done and a new one took over. The new driver was speedy in the check over of the bus though and we got on our way. Soon we were entering the Magic Kingdom area

We quickly got to the Monorail. We checked in at Chef Mickeys just before 5 and they took a picture with my camera.

The characters started around soon, with Donald being first

Minnie was next

Pluto was along , and she had a good time with him!

Goofy came right along as well

Then Mickey came, Just as they brought Kadence her birthday treat! He was more than happy to pose along with her and her treat!

It was time the twirl your napkins!

THEN Mickey stopped back by to give one more hug! And he told her he loved her! Awww

SO we finished up our meal we went back to AoA. All of Kadence friends were posed and waiting for her return this night.

There is one thing I haven’t shared yet…. This day was our 14th wedding anniversary. So what kind of celebration was there to be??

Laundry. Sooooo Romantic.

When I planned this day, I didn’t even check the date; I just saw it would be an early evening that I could get laundry done. Well, I gathered my bags and went to the LM laundry area. It was very close to our room and we could watch TV while we chilled out, (it was too cold out to swim at night) But noooo , all machines currently being used, with lots of time yet to go.
Can anyone tell me why the LM area has 6 wash machines (well 5, one was out of order) and 16 dryers??? And why do the wash machines take 42 minutes to wash??? UGH
Because our trip was a long one (11days) I really needed to get some of our shorts and jeans washed! So I tell John I have to go to the Nemo pool area laundry. I didn’t want to drag Kadence and him to come along and sit to do nothing, so he helped me drag the clothes there and he went back to the room. Loaded the 2 washers I needed. Put money in and the first machine ate 3 of my quarters. I told a Cm that was cleaning the laundry area, but she couldn’t help me and told me to tell the congeries. So I go into the lobby area, and explain what had happened. He said He’d sent someone to look at it, and then he answered a phone and turned away from me.
WHAT?? No offer to refund my money? So I call john to tell him what had happened and that I’m going to sit and wait for the washers to finish and then I’ll come back to the room.
Well, by the time I was able to use the dryers, a lady had used most of them to dry her clothes. The only ones left were the top row, which I could barley reach and I’m 5’6”! Then I decided not to leave me clothes unattended, so I called John back and told him I was going to need help carrying the clothes back later. He came and got one of the bags, and I had to wait because the dryer apparently wasn’t DRYING his jeans. UGH
I finally was able to get everything dry, I went back to the room and there they are lying on the beds and on the floor, still crammed in the bag were the freshly dried clothes John had carried back, getting all wrinkled, John not having a care in the world.

I saw red. I was not very nice when I voiced my displeasure over the bag of clothes on the floor. I certainly resented the fact that I spent a very frustrating couple of hours doing the laundry and nobody could at least help fold it. He response…He didn’t know I wanted it folded.

So on the night of my 14th year of wedded bliss, I folded all the laundry. Sigh…..

(He did apologize the next morning, and then told me that he doesn’t want me to ever do laundry again on our trips. I told him that that means more possibly luggage and shopping for extra clothes and he said it would be worth it.)

I wanted to share a few pictures I've taken of Kadence this summer, just some sports she's in. She loves being a cheerleader and is in love with the big bows she gets to wear. The cheer pic was take before they got their uniforms, so as some as I find some time I'll take of full uniform one.

A few of people have been wanting to see how much she's grown and she really has in the last year. I wish she'd stop.

We always had great characters at Chef Mickeys, the food has been up and down. This time was ok.

I hate doing laundry while at Disney,and I know I picked the wrong night to do it, and yes, John isn't the laundry person here either. This next trip is going to be laundry free!

Glad Kadence was brave enough to go on EE. I don't blame her for not wanting to go again. I went on it on our 2011 trip after really looking forward to going on it and after getting off, I was glad I went but after I got off I said I really didn't need to go on it again anytime soon.

Those are lovely pictures of Cadence. She really has grown. I think the teenage years are right around the corner. She has that "look". I remember when my son was 12 and I looked at his pictures thinking, "this is it. He just looks like he will be a teenager any day". And the he was.

I don't blame you for getting aggravated over the laundry situation. I absolutely despise doing laundry on vacation because I fear that experience. I only do it if I'm in a villa with a machine. Otherwise I just overpack. I can't believe they only have 6 washers. Seems to me there should be more. They probably have double the dryers because they don't dry.

Oh well, hope you made up for your anniversary the next day.

Oh goodness, your anniversary sounds like a semi-bust. Your John sounds just like mine....I didn't know that you wanted the laundry folded (or anything else that we don't specifically give them instructions to do). At least he had the sense to apologize the next morning.

Claire had to stop on her way walking by me to look at Kadences sport pictures. I haven't had a chance to let her read along in awhile so we'll have to catch up eventually. She did ask about it the other night, but it was too late then.

I think the FL area is so well themed! Everything I looked at I noticed something new.

I was hoping for some of thet ooey gooey cake, but was disapointed when I found out it was for lunch only.

I wouldn't ride EE again unless she really wanted to either, and I'm glad she did just the once. We'll have to see if it happens in Nov.

NOOOOO! Don't say that! I do know what you mean though, one day you look at them and notice that change.

I tried the brick, but it kept falling off. John offered to duck tape it, but that didn't go over either...

Yeah, John's version of laundry is asking me "are my underwear clean?" I couldn't beat him at the Happiest place on earth!

We did, it was earlier in the trip, right at the front. It was one of Janet's outfits.
