Me and my wife are going to DW December 9-15 and will be staying at POR. I am wanting to surprise here with something like some roses and such in our room when we arrive. Is this possible, how would I set this up, and When would I need to arrange it?

You can arrange many types of surprises to be delivered into your room before arrival - go to the WDW website, at the top - under the THINGS TO DO tab - click on CELEBRATE YOUR SPECIAL OCCASION. I am sure you can find something appropriate or they will work with you for that "special" idea.

BTW - you are a special guy for wanting to do this for her!!!

My husband and I were in WDW for our 25th we had several things delivered from WDW florist that week. Everything was very nicely done. I would like to suggest that if your going to have roses/flowers delivered do it on your check in day that way you will have the most amount of time before you checkout to enjoy them. We flew that trip so there was no way to take them home and I had to leave behind a dozen beautiful roses that looked as fresh and beautiful as the day they were delivered.

I used Disneyflorist.com and ordered the "Make her a princess" bouquet. it was a pillow made out of carnations with a glass slipper and Tiara on top. I had it delivered to our table during dinner and the head chef came out with it and he was followed by a few other staff carrying chocolate covered strawberries and wine flutes. when he got to the table he got down on one knee and said "My Lord, I believe we found the lady's slipper". Then he handed it to me so I could give it to my wife. It was a great experience and our daughter still talks about the time that mom was made into a princess! Good luck with whatever you decide.:thumbsup2

I have been looking at the Disney Florist web site and had a few questions. Is it to early to order something now because we wont be going till December? Do I have an option at checkout to tell them I want it delivered to Port Orleans Riverside? And how will they know which room to have it in?

I am pretty sure they will not leave anything in your room before you have checked in. You need to have checked in first.

I used disneyflorist.com when I took my sister for her first Disney trip on her birthday. They were amazing. I called them and made all the arrangements. I asked for flowers and balloons with chocolates in the room when we arrived. The had to wait until we checked in. When we returned to our room after dinner, they were there. I had them deliver a Cinderella slipper on a pillow of white carnations to Cinderella's royal table while were dining on my sister's actual birthday, and they exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them :thumbsup2

Disney florist is very good at doing exactly what you are looking for. I would wait until about two weeks or less to order and they will even suggest ideas for your delivery to the resort or anywhere else you need it to be. My surprise was going to happen during a horse drawn carriage ride at POR, but as we all know, plans change when at WDW. They changed the whole delivery for me to be at 'Ohana on the same day it should have gone to POR.I had no idea of what I wanted to do beforehand and they helped me with ideas. If you can think it, they can do it ( for a fee of course). Hope this helps.pirate: P.S. If you are already staying at POR, then the carriage ride is a nice idea. They stop halfway through and present the flowers etc. from a hidden compartment in the carriage. Good luck!

Thanks for all of the quick and awesome replies. I want to really surprise her and this would be perfect!
