My daughter (age 14) has been wishing (really hard) for a trip to WDW. We were there last on Sept 11, 2001 and were not able to have our complete vacation (2 out of 7 days).

So this morning I booked thru Shades of Green for 26 May til 3 Jun and got an overflow rate of $144 for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I've never been there in late May. Any advice? (we go in Sept or Dec).

We have been to WDW the last week in May thru the first of June the past two years. We had no problems with crowds especially if we used fast pass. Some rides we didn't even have to use fast pass. Early entry mornings were not a factor in 2002 so maybe the crowds were spread out more. The weather was great. Not way too hot. I would definitely go this time of year again. FYI Gay Pride week starts the weekend after memorial day. Crowds do tend to pick up then.

Last year the weather that week was pretty good but it's usually pretty hot that time of year. As for gay pride week, so long as you don't go to MK the the Saturday they have the event there the crowds aren't too bad.

When is gay pride week? Thanks!

Hi,

This year the 1 st saturday in June is June 7.
I believe that is when Gaydays is this year. Follow the above link to check the dates.

We went at this time in 2000 and we had a
great time. The weather was very hot 95 to
98 most every day. I think it will be a great
time to go this year because the crowds
surrounding the gayday activites will happen
the next weekend. Have a great time.

We were ther May 20-26 of 2002. The beginning of the week was great. The weather was very pleasant and the crowds were light. However, the parks started to get crowded going into Memorial Day weekend. That Friday before Memorial day everyone was in the Magic Kingdom. I would go that week again. I would just go the weekend before and return home by that Thursday. Hope this helps!!!:)
