Surfing lessons at TL for my 11 yr. old???

DD will be 11 on our next WDW trip. She is quite athletic and a strong swimmer for her age, she would very much like to try the surfing lessons at TL. DH and I are concerned that it may be geared for teens more than pre-teens. Would love to hear some first hand experiences. Also, going in Feb. what if it is really cold that morning? Do they do wetsuits or just tough it out?

My neice (12) and nephew (10) did this in October and had a great time. I haven't heard much on the details of their experience, but I do know they had a lot of fun. Also, if you haven't looked there yet, Deb Wills' site has an adult's experience...http://www.wdwig.com/surf.htm.
