Hi All, I was just curious as to what unique and unusual or just park related scrapbooking merchandise the stores sell at WDW. I know I see a lot in AC Moore and Michael's but don't want to go too overboard if they have much more at WDW, so would like to save for that. Let me know please. Thank you so much.:goodvibes

Nothing to speak of @ WDW or Downtown Disney for that matter.. Most of what I found was overpriced (as expected) and stuff I could recreate myself or buy elsewhere... I looked and looked for things..and came home w/ NOTHING scrapbook related that I purchased...

Sadly, they are seriously lacking in the scrapbook dept. They have a few cute things like punches and some stickers but you will get much better stuff at Michael's, ACMoore, Joann's and a great place is mousememories.com

I agree, the scrapbook supplies at WDW are woefully lacking. My suggestion would be to hold off on buying your supplies until after your trip. Almost everything I bought ahead of time is still sitting waiting to be used, and my 2007 trip album was more than 50 pages. This year the only stuff I am getting ahead of time is swap items:). I think it's much easier to get what you will use when you know what you have to scrap.

The swap items you can get here on this board from these talented ladies far surpass anything ou can buy at Disney.

It's sad really... I would have thought that there would be some really great stuff, but there's just not...

Thank you for all the great replies, that is kind of sad to hear. Guess I will just have to be on the lookout at other places.:)

:worried: Oh dear,....... I'm disappointed to read that the scrapbooking supplies at WDW aren't that great. We wil be visiting December/January this year and I want to scrapbook my visit. We are coming from New Zealand and I don't expect to be back again soon. I was hoping to get some awesome embellishments, papers etc. We won't have a vehicle so can't drive to a scrapbooking place. We will be staying at Pop and at International Drive (oh and a couple of nights at the Florida Mall Hotel). Hopefully there will be somewhere we can get scrapbooking supplies around Florida Mall or International Drive? :confused3

I have picked up some cute scrapbook supplies at WDW. About a year ago, I found an adorable 12x12 album with wooden covers decorated with Disney characters --- totally unique, I had never seen anything like it. I also found a box of tag size papers, probably 2x3 inches, that had some very old and hard to find movie posters and character drawings on them. I was quite happy just to discover these two items. And I found them in the gift shop at the Port Orleans resort. There was a scrapbooking and book store in Downtown Disney, not sure if it is still there.
I know you are outside the US, but I wonder if you could order some Disney supplies from US web sites. Creative Memories has Disney and Pixar kits as well.

In the area of florida mall is the Scrapbook Boutique at the Terrace of the Florida Mall. But hands down the best place is MouseMemories, down in Kissimmee. How are you getting around from your Florida Mall hotel?

Where about is MouseMemories, is it really great, how much do you think a taxi would be from WDW?? Just curious. Thanks.:goodvibes

Directions from Walt Disney World Area via US 192:

MouseMemories is located on the East side of Kissimmee, Florida, less than twelve (12) miles East of Walt Disney World's main entrance on US 192. If you are familiar with Kissimmee's "Mile Markers" we are located about 3 1/2 miles East of Mile Marker 15.

After driving East from the Walt Disney World area, approximately six miles, there is a big bend in the road (US 192) to the South. Continue on US-192 a couple of additional miles until US 192 again bends so that it heads due East once more. You will pass the huge castle-themed Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament Show building at the second bend in US 192. At that point, MouseMemories is only four miles away.

Continue on US 192 past Hoagland Boulevard, Dyer Boulevard, Thacker Avenue, John Young Parkway, and Orange Blossom Trail (also called "Main Street" in the downtown area of Kissimmee. When you pass Main Street, you will be able to see an archway to the right (South) which designates Kissimmee's old downtown area. (After visiting MouseMemories you might want to drive through the old downtown. There are several great shops including a couple of great antique stores that are worth visiting. Also, there is a great selection of old town restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!)

After passing Orange Blossom Trail, you will cross over a railroad track. Shortly thereafter, you will see a Racetrack Gas Station on the left-hand (North) side of the street. You will need to make a left-turn just BEFORE the Racetrack. That street that you'll be turning on is Damon Avenue. MouseMemories is located past the Racetrack and past Lehigh Street which crosses Damon Avenue. We are in the second building on the right-hand (East) side. With our Scrapbooking signs above and in the windows, we'll be easy to find from there.

I don't know how much a taxi would be, but there are the directions from WDW area.

That's a good idea. I will do a search and have a look at the web sites. Maybe if the postage to New Zealand is a lot, I could get them to post to Pop with my name on etc. and pick up when we get there? ohh - now I'm getting excited. Thanks for the suggestion :thumbsup2

We will be getting a taxi or a transfer. Do you think it would be worth getting a taxi to MouseMemories at Kissimee from Florida Mall and then another taxi to Pop? I have no idea of distances. I know its a long way from Florida Mall hotel to Pop (probably about $50) but don't know how far it is from MouseMemories to Pop?

My fear is, you're going to spend more in taxi fees than it would cost to rent a car! It is about as far from Mouse memories to WDW as it is from the Florida Mall to WDW, just in different directions (about 12 - 15 miles ~20K).

I am going to go to MouseMemories for the first time ever this year (in 46 days). I'll be happy to report on what I buy and what I think of the place. My sister lives near Orlando and will be taking me, so I won't be able to report on the cab fare, but at least I can tell you if it's worth considering:).

Ooh, yes, they are worth the trip. You can even create a wish list on their website.
They'll print it out for you when you get there. You probably won't stick to your list, tho'.
They have a lot of goodies! ::yes::

Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything :rolleyes1

I know what you are saying but we drive on the other side of the road here in New Zealand and the thought of getting used to driving on the other side just for a day car hire doesn't thrill me. Maybe I will have a look at their website and see if I can order online and get it delivered to Pop to hold for me.

Thanks so much for your replies, suggestions and help. To the Op, I'm sorry to go off track from your original post.
