Superman???

dh wants to see this today with the kids and is very excited...but we are starting to hear not so great reviews. has anybody seen it? good/bad/ugly?

I saw it on Friday and it was good. Very good. So good I want to see it again.

We saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. It was a bit long but it was the first movie I have seen in a long time where there was applause in the theater when it ended.

We took DD8 and I was concerned that it was getting a bit too long for her but she didn't make one peep during the movie and she usually has no problems letting you know when she dislikes a movie and is bored.

We saw it and everyone in our group of 6 loved it!! It was action packed from beginning to end!

There wasn't any sex that I remember, just a kiss between two main characters. As far as language I don't remember hearing any truly vulgar.

My dh saw it opening night and said it was the best Superman he has ever seen and wants to go see it again. A comic store owner friend of ours who isn't a fan of Superman at all now has interest in Superman solely because of this movie.

It does not interest me at all but even if it did I'm not sure I'd have the stamina to endure a two and a half hour movie. I'm thinking I have a case of undiagnosed ADD.

Not that I recall. One character even says "Are you effin' stupid?!" instead of saying the actual F-word, so they were really careful with the language. I don't recall anything sexual in the movie at all. The movie opens with Superman being born, so there is a childbirth scene, but it's nothing graphic or inappropriate.

The movie was definitely darker than the previous Superman films and the action scenes were pretty intense, especially in the last 45 minutes, but we loved it. There were a ton of kids at our show and they seemed to be having a great time too.

I'm ready for the sequel already...

DH also said its the best Superman film yet, he and DS11 both loved it. I just went to see Russell Crowe, who I have a huge thing for, but I ended up liking it too!

Don't remember any sex or vulgarity at all, so if there was any, it can't have been too bad.

I slept through most of it. Good thing i had on 3D glasses. Dh didn't even know! He loved it! Just not my type of movie..

We saw it Friday and we both loved it. As someone else mentioned, people in the theater clapped at the end. There was nothing vulgar about the movie except what's been mentioned.

We saw it Friday and it was really good. I did think it was about 30 minutes too long though. No bad language or sex though. It is violent though.

It was much better than the reviews made it sound. My whole family enjoyed it -- not enough to see it again though. We saw the 2D version; I usually go to 3D or IMAX but 2D seemed sufficient for this one.

No concerns about sex or language.

we just got back. I loved most of it, I just felt like the action scenes were a bit more destructive than really needed to be, and were way too long. By the last one I think I even rolled my eyes. LOVED the way they handled the back story/origin story. and definitely enjoyed the eye candy...superman is HOT.

As for the family, dh loved it, DS11 and DS9 both loved it. It was too much for DD9 She was terrified. And this is a girl who has seen all the avenger/avenger character movies without any problem. Probably doesn't help that she was at a sleepover last night and was overtired, but I would say if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't have brought her.

My oldest son just a little while ago told my other son that the movie was very good and he should go and see it. DH and I never go - so no reason to tell us
