Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

9 Days, LL!! Everything is going to be great, but ITA re: the trip anxiety. I think drakes hit the nail on the head with why we get nervous. Once you're in the air, you'll be so very excited.:yay:

Hope your bag search is at an end. Oh, I read a tip re: park bags. If you think the weight of the bag may make the strap bother you, get a seatbelt pad from the automotive department to spread out the load of your strap on your shoulder. I thought it was an interesting tip. No charge.;)

Oh single digits.... How I long for thee......

LOVE your pix, as usual, LL! The idea of my Sept. trip becoming solo is really starting to sparkle. All those pictures of details I could take...............
You will be there before you know it! Thanks!

Woo hoo for single digits!!! I even put my sunglasses on for the dance!!! :cool1:

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: about Bo's cousin! I will have to introduce Chelsea to him!
Hehehe, I've been waiting to post that picture and use that line for awhile now. :rotfl2:

Congrats on single digits!! Hope the bag is a keeper!
:yay::yay::yay::yay::banana::banana:
Thanks!

I know, I think you are right. Once I'm on the plane it will be smooth sailing from then on.

What a great idea about the seatbelt pad! I might have to check that out!

Single Digit Dancing with you :banana::banana:

Tough decision, but I really like the main street view. I love looking at the Mickey pumpkin decorations on the the lamp posts. So cute!

Main Street USA. Bet you can't wait to be strolling down that street! And where will you go first? The Emporium? Casey's? The bakery? The lampost? ;) So many wonderful choices!

Single digits, you are so lucky!! Are you all ready to go?!?!

I loved the Halloween decorations too. I am glad though to see it "normal". I am so ready to go!

I really can't wait. I think I just want to soak in Main Street when I first step onto it.

Your Trip is getting closer! NINE days! :goodvibes
Yayaya! I have those butterflies in my stomach again!

Single digits, you are so lucky!! Are you all ready to go?!?!
I am not. I'm in panic mode. :rotfl:

I'm still freaking out. I don't know what my problem is. I am a jumble of nerves, my stomach is in knots and every time I really think about going to Disney I want to cry. I know this is insane, I feel insane! I think I am feeling overwhelmed.

I really liked my bag this morning. I brought it to work, modeled it for my cubicle mate. Put it on and off a few times during the day. Then I got home. I had a package (Teva Mushies) so I had to walk over to the leasing office...with the bag. Meh. It was so freaking heavy. I think I have too much park stuff. And I don't even have Nobby yet! I am going to use it again tomorrow and I hope to have better luck and like it more BUT then in the back of my head I have the thought of how much I spent on this iffy park bag and I think I should just return it. :confused3

Then I opened the Teva Mushies. BOO! In theory they are quite comfortable but with my mammoth feet the 11's are too tight. I can't find Women's Mushies in size 12 so I give up. They are being returned. I have tried the Men's Mushies before and they just don't fit my lady feet right. Darn my Texan Roots and large feet! :lmao:

My other Teva sandals will not be in until the 18th which is Monday which gives me precious little time to get them broken in.

So I am overwhelmed. With a capital O. Overwhelmed.

I realize this is just plain silly because in 9 short days I am going to Disney and I am very lucky indeed just stressed and overwhelmed.

I tried to vent to Marc and he just looked at me like I was nuts. Marc is the most easy going person I have even known, he can literally take lemons and turn them into lemonade no matter the situation. He doesn't get why I am overwhelmed. He doesn't think a park bag matters or that shoes matter. So I am venting to all of you because if I don't get these thoughts out of my head I am going to explode and that would be very messy and add to my stress. :rotfl2:

I'm glad you can vent here and let go of some of your anxiety. I can feel it through the boards :sad1:
I was there when we went in January. All the planning, searching for a bag, shoes etc. I was not successful with the bag.
I look back now and realize we had a great trip and i didn't use my planning book - and i mean book that much, some of my journal days are empty :confused3. I guess it means we were busy and having a good time, or I was such a commando I had no down time :confused3

I did take quite a few pairs of shoes, some Merril Sandals, crocs, and good old running shoes for the parks. I found the sandals the best but in Jan my toes froze!

I think you are very prepared and have your trip well planned out. At least you took photos of all the details I wanted to and missed or forgot and I had a list :scared1:

Hope you can find some time to relax tonight.

:grouphug: Shoes and bags are important to women. My DH would carry any old bag I throw at him as long as its not pink and have a princess on it. :rotfl:

I think you will end up just fine. If I were you I would take a few bags and several shoes that way you will be covered. Sorry to hear about the mushies not working out-but what are you trying to say about Texans feet? I was born and raised right here in good ole Texas and wear a size 6 shoe. :lmao:

Just think what a lucky girl you are to be going to Disney in just a few short days.

Aw, LL:hug: So sorry about the shoes and the bag. Maybe just take the bag you like best and rent a stroller to hang it from.:lmao: Sorry, I know that these are important things, but you've done so much planning and have such a happy disposition that you're going to have a wonderful time in Disney even if you have to carry a plastic Walmart sack. Can you do something completely non Disney related tonight? Maybe stepping back and doing something else will help.:flower3:

I am also glad that we can be an outlet for your anxiety. :grouphug: I totally understand. There are a lot of expectations wrapped into a WDW trip!

VERY sorry that the mushies aren't working. Mine aren't here yet but I am crossing my fingers that I will love them. As if the other 20+ pairs of flip flops I have are inadequate. :rolleyes1

The bag. Not sure I'll be much help here. It is tough to find a good one. But I will go ahead and speak blasphemy here and say that if Nobby the gnome can't come with you everyday then I think that is more than ok. He's a lucky gnome. He can hang out in the resort for some of the time.

You have to do what is comfortable for you. And remember that you WILL be back. No pressure to do it all. Just relax in your happy place. :goodvibes

Oh and twitter every 60 seconds so we can live vicariously. ;)

Just kidding on the last piece. Looking forward to your tweets but every 60 seconds seems like overkill. Feel free to take a whole two minutes between posts to yourself. :rotfl: Kidding again. :)

Hi LL,
I completely understand where you're coming from....I'm having those SAME anxieties about my September trip!!!!!!!!:scared1: If I think too much about it, I feel like I'm going to cry, too! It's hard to leave Marc alone for the week, but I guarantee once you're there, you'll be okay. Or at least that is what everyone tell me (LOL!!). I think that it's just the anxiety of everything....all the unknowns that make it overwelming. Sending a hug your way!!!

Take a deep breath, it will all work out, I promise and you're going to have such a great time!!!:wizard:

I know I am prepared to the best of my ability and I think I am even more prepared because I learned a lot on my last trip. It's just something new and different and it's freaking me out a bit.

:lmao: About the Texas comment, that's what my Mom always blames it on. My grandmother was from Texas and she's always saying I get most of my physical attributes from them. My dad's cousin even told me the other week that I look just like my Grandmother, I have never had anyone tell me that! It was wonderful, she was so pretty. :lmao:
I keep telling myself I am very lucky and I know I will have a good time, it just needs to get here so I stop freaking.

Aw, LL:hug: So sorry about the shoes and the bag. I laughed OUT LOUD at your stroller comment. :rotfl: I read my book tonight "American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfeld, I highly recommend it! I feel calmer. I also looked at my bag and forgot that I put a full soda in it...that could be why it was so much heavier on the way home....:rolleyes1

I am also glad that we can be an outlet for your anxiety. :grouphug: I totally understand. There are a lot of expectations wrapped into a WDW trip!

I think the Mushies would work if they were a size 12. I almost kept them but didn't want to waste the money if they weren't perfect. Mom would be so proud. :lmao:

I am so glad that I have you all to come vent too, sometimes I just need to get it all out and I feel better automatically.

I think Twitters every two minutes sounds reasonable....pffft. And remember if you want to say something to me while I'm in Disney, send me a "direct message" on Twitter. That goes for any of you! :thumbsup2

What do you take to Disney for a bag?

Thank you so much! It is very overwhelming, I am so glad you get what I am feeling. I am so thankful for the DIS!

I have been lurking and loving your pre-trip report. Getting some ideas for our next trip!
Love the shirts, especially the princesses making faces:rotfl:. Couldn't find that one on the thread you talked about, but found some great ones for the Halloween party (our 13 year olds don't want to wear costumes, so we are all going to wear matching T-shirts - they aren't too crazy about matching with the moms:rolleyes:!). But I love the princess one and I think my friends daughter would too. Is that in a different place? I would love to put together one for our trip.
Single digits! Take a deep breath and just imagine riding Soarin' :goodvibes(my fav). Soon you'll be in your happy place! Although I remember relaxing back in my seat once our plane was on its way! I know I'll love reading your trip report!

Oh man, that stinks about the mushies! I hope the full can of soda made all the difference and your new bag works for you after all.
I have been know to stash a full water bottle in my purse then forget about it, complaining how heavy it is then, digging down and finding the water bottle lurking.........

Just think by the time you read this you will be at 8 days!
:yay::yay::yay:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:Single Digits!

:hug:for the stress you are feeling... I am sad you are sad/stressed, you are so close to a fantastic trip!

;)Since I doubt I can fit in your luggage... thanks for the offer. I think my dh would freak out if he had the kids for more than say two hours without me!

BTW... in Meijer (a grocery store chain) I was bag browsing for you...

Would a big Vera Bradley Backpack work?

BTW the Cargo Slings were $10 dollars the last day of the Vera Bradley outlet sale... what a deal. I have a friend who got a cute one!

I am sorry you are so stressed. Total bummer about the shoes. I hope the bag is ok minus the soda. I really hope you work things out in your mind so that you are excited instead of stressed. You are going to have a great time! Hang in there!

Relist the items you want to take in your bag forus...maybe we can help you fix any issues you are having with your bag dilemma.

I didn't feel like I needed a LOT of time breaking in my Tevas---wear them around until you leave, and I think you will be fine by the time you get there.

Remember the great fun you are going to have with Jen, and know the priceless memories you will make with your Mom will be priceless!!!
