Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

Do you have any thoughts on wearing jeans at Disney? I'm thinking that I may need to bring jeans and I'm further thinking that they won't be that comfy walking around all day :headache:

I wore jeans last year when we had a freak cold front come through. Just make sure to bring your comfy-est pants (most roomy) and you'll be fine. I didn't even realize any difference :goodvibes

I've been worrying about that for the December trip. But then again, I am normally warmer than most people so I thought I could get away with capris and a sweatshirt if need be. I wear jean capris but usually they are way more comfortable then my regular jeans.

Are you starting a pretrip report?? :rolleyes1

Okay LL...I have a question for you! I'm going to be getting my AP when I get down there...although I'm on the dining plan should I still get the Tables in Wonderland card?? I'm not a huge alcohol drinker, but one night I'll be meeting a fellow DISser and doing a monorail tour where we will be doing cocktails and desserts...so any suggestions..would it be worth the investment. To also give you all the info, I will be returning to Disney in December 2009 so if that helps???

The way I understand it, it's $60 to buy the Tables in Wonderland Card. It's good for one year. You will receive 20% off your bills. If you look at that link Christine posted it gives you a bit more information with a list of the places that accept the card. I am still debating. I need to get my Fuzzy Disney Math calculator out!

Are you doing deluxe dinning again?

I started it...it's pathetic but I started it!

I'm in a deep Disney Funk. What is a Disney Funk you ask. Well let me tell you.

Disney Funk:
*Being overwhelmed by the choices you have
*Airfare
*Resorts
*You can't make your ADR's
*Park Hours not being released yet
*Aimlessly surfing the DIS Threads in hopes that all of your problems will be solved by reading other people's trials and tribulations.

Yep. I'm hopeless. :rotfl2:

Currently, I am debating on whether or not I want to stick with the Deluxe Dining Plan or drop down to the Regular Dining Plan or scratch the dining plans all together, buy Tables in Wonderland and get the discount. I can't even pull out my Fuzzy Disney Math calculator to calculate.

My thought process on this is that I'm worried we'll spend too much time at restaurants, even though on our last trip we looked forward to that down time. But I don't want to run around like a chicken with no head trying to make all of my ADR times. I like the Deluxe because we really love appetizers. We love trying new things and a lot of the appetizers appeal to us. But then I think if we want some flexibility then why don't we get the Tables in Wonderland card and then we can get appetizer only if we want. The sky's the limit.

Do you see why my head hurts?

My Disney Funk is so deep that I have been contemplating canceling. Nuts, right? I know it is. I have to stay away from the Disney Rumor Thread too because it just makes my head hurt. Rumors of CoP closing, that Disney is closing a Mod and a Value Resort because of the economy, Jack Sparrows are getting fired at Disneyland. I JUST WANT MY HAPPY PLACE. No rumors, no bad economy, no nothing. Disney take me away.

I'm ready to throw all the planning out the window and just Pirate It Up a la the TK Clan for this trip.

Arrrr. pirate:

The good news? I'm happy that I decided to stick with Port Orleans Riverside. :upsidedow

Wish I was part of the Tagliarchy- that's an awesome set of words there, LL. ::yes::

And also- here's a link to my DIS friend Karen's trip report to POR for last Christmas. She's got some great pix of the resort.

HERE

I can't read the Rumor thread anymore either. It seems like everything is being taken away...except the cost for us to be there! I really wish we could have gone a few years ago, before everything changed.

So as you can see, I'm absolutely no help in curing your Disney Funk.

But I am sorry you're going through it...and I know it will pass eventually.

Probably as soon as those hours are posted! :thumbsup2

Step away from the rumor board, LL. ;) I can't be on it because I start panicking. Rumors are evil and best ignored!

Focus on everything that is remaining at Disney -- that is an awful lot of stuff!

What is the Tagliarchy?

Thanks for the link! I started reading the TR last night and I am enjoying it!

I hope you are right. I was telling Marc this morning that I was thinking of canceling but as I was telling him this I started to get panicky at the thought of not going so I think I am on the road to recovery.

That board is just evil and there are so many pot stirrers on there! I am going to try to distract myself by research cameras for you today. :thumbsup2

Step away from the rumor board, and step away from the phone. No cancellations!!! (At least until it's closer and you've double and triple thought out your decision).

No use worrying about the things at Disney that are out of your control. I wouldn't worry too much about the airfare right now either. You still have a way to go, and if the economy stays as it is they are going to have to drop prices a bit to entice people to travel.

I had to step away from the rumor threads too, LL- like I need any more drama before our trip next month! Me thinks not!

Do Deluxe Dining or Tables in Wonderland- we're going to the next time we go, but it'd be too stressful for us to figure out on this first trip. (I've got to figure out where my own hotel is much less how to get to three restaurants a day for 10 days!) I did the fuzzy Disney math on both Deluxe and TiW when we were contemplating it and it came out so close it's tough to call. I think you're good to go, either way!

No Canceling LL!!! I'm sure the hours will be out soon and then you can plan to your hearts content LOL!!!

As far as the rumors thread...I too don't go over there because I'm paranoid and I don't want to be stuck obsessing over something that most likely will not happen. And obsess I will LOL!!!

I'm doing Deluxe dining (Christmas gift from my dad) but I'm still only doing about 1 TS a day except for EPCOT and a few Signature dining places (Brown Derby and Yatcshmen) I too don't want to spend more time at restaurant than the parks!!

I hope they do drop. I am crossing my fingers for that! If we do end up canceling it won't be until our 45 day window is almost up. :thumbsup2

I'm still not sure what I want to do. I am going to do some calculating tonight while Marc watches Diehard.

:thumbsup2 Haven't done it yet but it's on the list! :rotfl2:

I just don't want to worry about the money with Dining and then worrying about the tips and such, you know? It's an easy way to cost some costs. :goodvibes
