Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

Ist 2 days look great so far!! I don't think its a big deal to do 2 buffets on the same day, assuming that you want to do both places!!

Another option is how LATE is LTT serving lunch??? I'f you're doing a big early 8ish bfst... maybe the lunch ADR at LTT late like 2-3pm would be doable, then get a snack/small late dinner CS during EMH???

I dunno:confused3

I love reading plans because we just decide day-to-day what we're going to do (which is better for me because I would be the one to get really PO'd if we didn't follow something  ) Yours look great!

That's awesome that you are doing Le Cellier; we are doing lunch there and I'm soooo excited for it. I'm hoping that if I don't get the Chocolate Moose, that someone else does, because I really want to try it. If we do a girly trip at some point, we might try to do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, because my sister loves the Mad Hatter. :lovestruc

Wow! Your plan sounds great so far!!! I hope you can pull off Soarin' and Test Track on that Saturday when you arrive. I believe that is Memorial Day weekend, so get there as soon as you can!!

Your food plan sounds great! We are planning to try Crystal Palace early one morning also.

and I don't know if you listen to any podcasts, but this is one of my favorite and the host, Lou Mongello, did a whole show on an in-depth 'tour' of the Port Orleans resorts. CLICK HERE

Wow loving your plans so far I think I'm going to start putting together my itinerary this week LOL

OOOH more podcasts...now I'm excited..I'm going to have to go over there and listen too LOL!

Your first two days look great! I love reading about your plans -- it makes me excited about our upcoming trip as well!
I know! You are right after us. I'm still a little sad our trips aren't overlapping. :sad1:

Great start, LL!
Thank you!

I do want to do 1900 Park Fare, I don't know if I want to spread out the buffets a bit or not. Have to think on it more. The LTT suggestion isn't a bad one! Although that might be during our break time.

I think it's hilarious that you are a DISer and don't do plans. ;) But good for you! We did tweak our plans quite a bit while we were down there last time. So at least we are flexible.

Thanks Alan! It is Memorial Day Weekend. We went on Labor Day Weekend last time and we are repeating our plans from that weekend for this time around. We had good luck so I am hoping for some more. Even if we just get fastpasses for one and wait in line on the other.
I'm so glad your family is going to Crystal palace early one morning, it's a great way to see the park EMPTY! Your kids will love it.

I love that Port Orleans website! That is what made me decide on Riverside!!
I have never listenend to any of the podcasts but I will listen to that ASAP!

I think Itineraries are a good jumping off point. I like the fact that I have an idea of what we should do and can tweak it while we are down there to what we feel like doing.

Hey! What's this? A Disney Funk? Okay, a funny story for you then. Chuck and I are going through the queue of our first ride of the trip :Pirates!! All of the sudden I look back and Chuck is gone. I backtrack to find him, camera pointing at a torch light fixture, playing with the settings. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Taking a picture. You know, for that Lady girl." he replies. You will be refered to now in our minds as "that Lady girl."
We were thinking of you. It will all get worked out.

Awww!! That made my morning. I can't wait to see all of your light fixture photos!!

Those look like great plans! If you want to hit up Soarin' on your arrival day, I would book it to the fastpass area pronto. Depending on what time of day you get there, savvy? The wait time for that ride fluctuates so much, it amazes me. Although it's not TSM bad. :lmao:

I think that will be the plan. I might stop for a little Spaceship Earth detour first though. :rolleyes1 It's really hard for me to pass by that ride without riding it. :lmao:

Oh, if I get in the park and there's no line for Spaceship Earth, I always go on it first.

Guess what came in the mail today??

Our 2009 Disney Planning DVD! Those celebration balloons are really growing on me, they are super cute. I was very excited to watch the little Riverside clip. I'm glad we are staying there. :thumbsup2

I have come to terms with no May 2009 Park Hours yet. I am going with the flow, I am channeling my inner Pirate. pirate: I am totally winging this itinerary too. I don't have it all planned out, I just keep doing the two days at a time and just vaguely figuring out what I am going to do for the rest of the week. I'm quite proud of myself. :lmao: But then again, I am sure I will tweak it 1,001 times.

We also decided that we don't want to do Chef Mickey's. We aren't huge buffet people and we are going to Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare, I think two is good for this trip. :thumbsup2

Monday May 25th: Memorial Day! :scared1:
*Sleep In
With us planning to do MK's EMH's the night before we are going to need to sleep. I plan to sleep better than I did last time too. I was too anxious in the beginning of our last trip and didn't rest properly when I had time. Not a mistake I will be repeating.
*Lunch at Akershush Royal Banquet Hall
I want to go to this Princess meal so I let Marc pick out of Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner and he decided that he liked the Lunch menu the best. Fine with me! I just want to meet me some Princesses. I really hope Ariel is here since she is without her fins. Allears says that lunch starts at 11:40 so I am going to shoot for around that time for and ADR. Hopefully no later than 12:30.
*Epcot
Going to Epcot on Labor Day worked well for us, I am hoping it works well for Memorial Day. We didn't encounter too many crowds. I do hope to ride Soarin and Test Track again and probably venture to World Showcase. Of course we will be enjoying all that Flower & Garden Festival has to offer as well.
*Afternoon Break?
I'm assuming we'll take an afternoon break but not sure. Who knows how we will feel and how late we slept in.
*Animal Kingdom EMH's? or Back to Epcot??
This is another iffy. I am just not sure what I want to. According to last year's park hours, AK had PM EMH's on Memorial Day. Now TourGuide Mike doesn't suggest attending those but we had very good luck going against some of his advice last time. He told us to not go to DHS on Labor Day night since it was their EMH's and the only crowd we encountered was Fantasmic. I think this is going to be a last minute decision and having a Lunch ADR and no dinner plans will just help being spontaneous. Well as spontaneous as you can be with two options. ;) We'll have a counter service dinner somewhere if at AK probably Yak N' Yeti CS or if we are in Epcot, Fish & Chips from England.
Last year AK was open until 8PM, I am guessing the EMH's will go until 11PM...?? Is that correct? I didn't think AK was open that late but I hope it's true. I have a hankering for some AK at nighttime!

Tuesday May 26th: Solo Afternoons!
*Three Options
I just can't make a decision. We have three viable options.
*Animal Kingdom
*Disney Hollywood Studios
*Sleep In
Hmmmm. I like all three. This may be another last minute decision.
*Counter Service Lunch
*Solo Afternoons
I'm pretty excited about this. As a lot of you know, I'm in the very early planning stages for a possible solo/girl's trip in April 2010. I want to test the waters so to speak and.....have an afternoon to myself in Disney. I love Marc dearly, very dearly but we spend time away from each other since he works overnight and I think it will be beneficial to my sanity to have an afternoon apart. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. :lovestruc I think we are both excited for some time to do whatever we want. I think it will be fun to compare stories after too.
*Late Romantical Dinner at Jiko's
I expect after our solo afternoons that we will meet back up at Riverside, relax and head to AKL for our dinner at Jiko's. I don't want to be rushed so I am thinking that we will do a later dinner. 8PMish? 9PMish? I do know that I will be ordering an appetizer out of pocket and it will be the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread with grilled onion, apple, African barbecue sauce, and four cheeses. *Drool* I'm very much looking forward to this dinner. I want to take the time to explore AKL and just enjoy the atmosphere. I am hoping to take Disney transportation over there and the maybe a taxi home so we don't worry about missing buses and just enjoy ourselves.

Ooh! 2009 DVD's are out! I just ran over and ordered one... I have to have a DVD from the very first year we go to WDW!

Channeling your inner pirate?

You do me proud, girl, you do me proud.

That appetizer at Jiko sounds amazing. Someday I'm going to have to try that place. :thumbsup2
