Superbowl Menu

We are heading to a party as we do every year. Our friends host and they supply a lot of food, but everyone contributes as well:

Hosts are providing:
Catering trays from Texas Roadhouse
Round Table Pizzas
Chips and queso
Homemade chocolate chip cookies
Various chips and dips
Fruit salad
Green salad
Other misc snacks - cheese and crackers, pretzels, nuts, etc.
All kinds of alcohol imaginable - hard liquor, wine, beer, etc.

We are bringing home made grilled beef birria tacos with homemade salsa, consume, and all the fixings along with a dozen and a half cupcakes from a favorite bakery.

Other friends are bringing trays of veggie and pork egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce

There are only about a dozen people coming this year - we have enough food to feed probably 30-40 people...LOL

**Just asked my husband how many tacos he is making and he said 30. I reminded him that not everyone needs 2-3 tacos a person, but he insists on make sure there are enough to feed everyone.

I might go down to the neighbors where we'll listen to the game on the radio out in the barn. I have no idea what the menu will be but, based on previous events with this family, I'm sure it will be wonderful.

We're going to watch because it looks like it should be a decent game....so...I've got frozen meatballs, fresh mozzarella, homemade sauce and ciabatta bread that I bought today. So...meatball parm sandwiches it is. I have a generous wine connoisseur customer who tipped me at Christmas with a 2007 Sassicaia Brunello....and this seems like as good a night as any to break it out. Cheers everyone...enjoy the game!

Football games on radio remind me of my childhood, my dad would have them on…. Even now I’ll sometimes put a game on I’ve no interest in at all for the familiar background noise.

We will listen to the night games during the season on Alexa. This way we can set a timer for her to shut off, but still listen to the games while we fall asleep.
