WHo went? WHat did you think?

THe crowds were unbelieveble as was the event, I thought anyway. I am so glad I went even tho I had to come home to rain here in Il.

Being a big GH fan, it was great tho I really enjoyed seeing the other ABC stars and gasped at how goodlooking they all are. Must be a requirement.

Share your experience on who and what you enjoyed the most there!

Hi, I was there along with 2 sisters & a friend. I thought it was much more crowded than the 2 previous times we were there. We're AMC fans, so only went to those booths or events. We went to the first show at ABC Studios. It was so crowded and people started pushing when we were going in. Someone lifted a rope and I feel, since we were so close to it, we had no choice but to move forward. Our safety was worth more than trying to get around, which we were trying to do. So many people started pushing against my one sister, she just let them go first then went through the rope. It was bedlam and something I won't ever do again. A woman behind me grabbed hold of my shoulders. I'm still not sure if she was pushing or holding on for dear life!

The parade and street event/talk were fine. But I didn't feel the need to be in the front jammed together masses then. Once was enough! :bitelip:

Also, we tried to buy souvineer t-shirts & key chains. The line was so long that a CM said to go to any other spot to pay. When we did, we were told the system would not accept those purchases. That was the end of that! So, no souvineers for us. We were out of there by 3:00.

It was fun taking a peek at the stars & snapping pics from afar, I just won't be partaking in the "organized" events any longer!

yea the crowds were nuts but by sunday afternoon i didn't have any trouble getting into the ABC studio events at all. As a matter of fact, i would be coming out of one door and heading to the next for the next event. I was kinda of lost on saturday trying to figure out where every thing was so sunday was much better plus i didn't go until around 10"30 so the crowds getting in where better.

i didn't stick around for the last parade tho i am sure it probably was easier to find a good spot but by that time i had seen everyone and was just tired of the crowds.

that said...i would do it again in a heartbeat!

However, I did not arrive until 5:30pm....the crowds were lined UP on the street waiting for the Motorcade Parade....it didn't start till 7:15pm! :earseek: Didn't see a blessed thing! :confused3 However, Sunday was a LOT better I guess everyone had thier fill on Sat. ;) The only person I did not see was Walt Wiley. :guilty: I did see Erica Sleizak and La-Lucci, only one picture in the parade, hope it turns out. :confused3 Next year I am there Again! ;)

Here is a little secret that we have done for the past 3 or 4 years. If you don't care about Soap Stars...go to MGM during this event. Most of the people there will be in line to meet and greet with the stars, they don't even care about going on any rides. The park appears crowded, but the ride lines are not.

We were at MGM on Saturday but have no interest in the soap stars, it was a great day for rides, 30 minute wait for TOT and RRC, the crowds were absolutely incredible, and we kept running into a guy who had LUCCI on the side of his head.

We went to MGM Sunday night for extra magic hours...or so I told my hubby! LOL! We got there about 40 minutes before the start of the parade. I have never in all my trips seen a parade route that crowded! We found a wonderful CM who told us where the parade was going to end and we got an awesome spot at the end of the route. We didn't see everyonw but got up close to many! I have some cool pics...I'll post sometime over the weekend if I can figure it out. I have to download the pics (we got home last night at 9:45 and I had to work today). Susan Lucci walked right past me!!! I was so surprised that I was star struck! We saw Walt Willey (wearing huge Mickey hands), the actors who play Cristian, Kelly, Jessica, and Antonio on OLTL. Erica Slezak(sp?) waved to us! kimberly McCoullough (sp?) walked by and waved to us. Cameron Matheson was right in front of us carrying his son. My son (8) was excited to see Kelly Monacco (we watched dancing with the stars together). I really didn't think I would be so excited but there were so many people there that it was really fun and exciting. The concert sounded great but we didn't stay for it but you could hear it from quite a distance. Marcy from OLTL sounded and looked great! I never would have planned a vaction to be there for SSW but it was fun to see the stars since we were there anyway. I will never book a trip during this week again though. WAY TO CROWDED EVERYWHERE! We had a great trip. I will post a trip report soon!

We did not attend the event but Walt Wiley was staying at the Yacht and Beach the whole week prior. He was at the pool almost daily and we saw him around the hotel. Nobody was bothering him at all as he was vacationing with his family.
