Super Soap Weekend 2008?

I agree. Last year listening to Kassie was painful. I haven't thought she was good even when she sings on OLTL.


On bus to the airport yesterday I met one of the reporters for Soaps In Depth. A couple of other SSWer's were on the bus also and we were all talking about the ups and downs of the weekend.

I agree! Why do soapstars have to sing. It is so corny to me. OLTL does it a lot. I thought it was just me but I despise Kassie's voice and Marcie's is even worse. I fast forward every single time. Stick to what you do best...acting!

That's Farrah Fath. She's like that. She wasn't nice to some of her fans and made a comment on stage about "you don't make it in this business if you're an *******" (she should practice what she preaches)

What do you mean she wasn't nice to some of her fans? Did she do something in particular. I've never had the opportunity to visit SSW

Farrah was pleasant enough in the morning game show that she did. I didn't notice her being standoffish at all.

We had a great time, and managed to get a lot of pics. I am so sad that this was scheduled to be the last one, and I hope they do end up coming back. I still remember the first one fondly (wow it was so different than this one!)

I didn't realize they had a party for them in Epcot Friday night. Cool pic of Darnell.

Got back last night around 8. Really enjoyed my first SSW. Saturday was a learning experience. Went for only AMC. Got Bobbie and Thorsten on Saturday. Was really star struck with Thorsten! Should have thinking ahead of time what to say to him. Sunday got autographs from Susan, Eden and Melissa. Would have gone back around to get some stand by passes but my poor feet just could not handle it any more. Melissa was really pleasant and talkative. I felt really comfortable with her.

Mona - Thanks so much for letting me hang around with you and showing me the "soap ropes". I had a really good time. You must have had an enjoyable ride to the airport. I made it to my gate without too much stress. I was so glad when I got on that train and saw all the Southwest airplanes. I knew I was on the right side! Oh, have fun in Mexico!!

Christine - Nice meeting you and Faith (?). It's a good thing I did not know Thorsten was at MK on Monday. I might have been arrested for stalking! I would have followed that man everywhere. I stayed in my room on Monday and rested.

Maybe they will get smart and bring it back in a couple of years. I'm ready to go for another one.

I had put up about 1000 pics of Super Soap Weekend - I don't watch soaps anymore, but I go to take photos.

The park didn't seem as busy this year as it did last - and nearly everyone seemed a little kinder. Except for one mom who kept telling her kid to push through the crowds to take photos and the kid rebelled and said "don't you have enough?"

I really had a great time, this was possibly the best SSW I've been to. I am so sad that it seems to be the last. I really hope they bring it back at some point. It was amazing and all the stars were so nice.

I'm so sorry I missed such a great weekend! Great pics of Darnell - I would have loved to have seen him and Thorsten, and Tyler, and...all the stars! Oh well, no more soap weekend - maybe they'll come to my city on their tour - one can dream.

I must say I am hoping they bring this back also next year, would love to plan a trip around it!!! Can't wait to read more later today and hear about all the great times everyone had.

I really hope they decide to bring back SSW at some point. It was amazing this year. I met so many GHers, they were all wonderful, and I am so sad it's over. We stayed at the Boardwalk and were in the pool with OLTLers - Jessica and her real life husband, Marty and her daughter. We were in Epcot on the Friday night and saw many of them coming in for the dinner they have every year. We saw Cameron Mathison and his wife, Carly from GH, Thorsten, and others. They were so nice to fans waiting to say Hi as they walked by. Most all of them that I talked to were amazed at fan dedication. They feel honored that we spend half the night waiting on line just to spend a few minutes with them. Which makes it worth it. Especially this year since the Sunday was soo cold at 4 am. Rebecca Herbst was really sweet. I told her how sad I was that SSW was ending because that is the only time I get to see her in person. She said she was sad too and understood that the trip to GH fan club weekend was tough since I come from NY. Then she told me about a couple of events she was planning for 2009 and that they included Steve Burton. So she was really trying to give me ideas for seeing her if SSW didn't come back. I am really hoping they bring it back. I'm okay with a year or two off, but I want it back at some point. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
