Super Soap Weekend 2008?

On Soap net they have this up now
Check out the "ABC Soaps In Depth" Magazine on stands November 13 for the complete event listing
Don't get why they have to put it out so late:confused:

I hope they do add to the list of 'stars' that are appearing. One would think that they would have more since it will be the last year at WDW.

This will be my first completely solo trip. I have seen/met just about all of the actors from AMC so I think this year I might try to catch more of the talk shows.

Last year Saturday was an absolute zoo. It seemed like they changed they way they let people in that day and it was very disorganized IMO. Sunday was much less crowded and seemed to flow better.

Who else is definately going to be there this year????

Me! 2 weeks! I can't wait! I usually go to a lot of the talk shows as well. they are fun and it's nice to sit down. :goodvibes

Hi, I just booked a trip for that weekend, without knowing that SSW was going on. Will DHS be absolutely packed on Sunday? Do the rides have longer lines than usual, or are there just more people in the park? Thanks!

For those going this year, how early are you going to get there on Saturday? I am going solo this trip and I am kinda nervous about catching a taxi that early. I want to make sure there are people there when I arrive. I am staying at ASMU.

Hi Judy,
I am also going solo and will taking a cab from POP. I have no idea what time to go as it is my first SSW. I am thinking like 5:30? 6?
Elissa

Hi-my mom will be there that Saturday. Touring Plans lists that day as a good day to visit DHS for lower crowds.. Does SSW affect the rest of the park, or just the area where the stars are? She is a huge AMC fan!

Darn, too bad we're not at the same place. I would gladly pay for the cab to ride with someone. I'm thinking 5:30 would be better than 6. I was thinking more in the range of 4 to 5:scared1:. Maybe we will get some responses on here and see what people think. This is my first SSW, too. So, everyone, what time have you gotten there in the past and how was the crowd at that time?

Forgot to ask, when we get to the park that early can we park our car?just read a few are taking taxi's just thought since they were taking a taxi are we not allow to park that early? I am staying at the Galleria Palms they said they are 1 mile from the gates of Disney. Don't want to get to the gates and we aren't able to park our car. Anyone know that answer?

You can park you car as early as you want. We were there at 4:00 last year and they had people out directing traffic.

I had some friends not make it until 6:30 and they had no problems getting FP. The GH line is the longest. So if it is someone from GH you want to see, then get there early. It is really according to who you want to see from which show.

I am staying at the Boardwalk and will just walk over. Will try to get there around 6. I am going solo this year too- I hope I don't over sleep.

Any other 'solo SSWers' want to try and meet up during the day?

How early you arrive really depends on what you are planning to do. We usually arrive(by bus) between 7:30 and 8 am but we do not stand on line to get fast passes for autographs. We enjoy collecting the signed photos that they handout at each autograph area and taking a few photos of the stars when we can. We love just going to the shows and to the Streetjam. It is a long day or two(Saturday always seems more crowded than Sunday) and getting up super early just doesn't appeal to us!!!! Have a great time:banana:

I agree with you!:thumbsup2 I do try to get there around 7 or so to get fastpasses....but I have to get some sleep. I don't know how you all that get there 4,5,6 or earlier do it and stay there all day!:)
Anyway,2 weeks from today I will be there!!

The earliest we could make it would be 7am, have gotten there 7:45 only to see a big line to the far right of the gates of people who were "camped out since 2am" get in first....and take ALL the Fastpasses which P'd us off to no end!:headache: I like my sleep, so 2 am is a NO GO for me!:sad2:

My b/f has Cerebral Palsy and is in a motorized wheelchair. I have to help him dress, transfer him into the chair etc. Being at a theme park at 2am is not a possibility for us, it upsets me as well that people get in line that early since he is not physically able to do this, but we just deal with it.

Now I'm in real trouble I just went and added my youngest DD to our reservation:scared1: DH arrives home from a trip just before we are to leave 11/14 and needs to head out again on 11/17 we aren't returning until 11/18. I could have made other arrangements for her but I always wind up feeling guilty anyway that I'm at Disney without her. So, for DD4 and DD17 it may now be their first and last SSW:sad1: We are heading down with some friends and going to MVMCP on Friday night so we will be lucky if we get to SS by 8am on Saturday. Two more weeks:woohoo:

We are going to MVMCP on friday night too, we just had to go again to it. I can't wait to see the castle all lit up.

I am getting in early Fri afternoon. I have an annual pass so I might go to EPCOT that evening and walk around.
