Hi! How did everyone like SSW? I can't believe it's already over and have to look forward to hopefully going next year. I had an awesome time even though it was crowded and crazy there. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet up with anyone there.

It was totally crazy there on Saturday; even worse than last year. I got to the park around 9:30 am and of course all fast passes were gone. There were some standby fast passes for GH, so I waited on line for 1/2 hour, and then when they got to me they cut the line and said everything was gone. I did end up getting pictures with Logan from GH and Michael E. Knight from AMC; after they finished doing all their fastpass autographs, they stayed and came around to everyone else and posed for some pictures. I did manage to go to the morning AMC talk show after waiting on line for 1 hour, and that was a great show. I tried to go the GH talk show at 3:45 pm, but couldn't get in after waiting in line for 1 hour (they said some people lined up since 11 am in the morning for the show).

I saw Kelly Monaco walking around the park and said hello to her. Alicia Minshew wasn't there on Saturday because she was sick, but she did come Sunday, and I saw here in the motorcade when when I came to the park early before I left for airport. I was disappointed that Tyler Christopher (Nicholas from GH) didn't show up because of scheduling conflicts. I stayed for Street Jam Sat. night, and saw Cameron dance with Edyta. I had missed the Street Jam last year and was glad I was able to see it.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you either, I injured my foot on Friday, and had to use a electric cart on Fri at Epcot and Sat at Mgm...Crowds were intense, and I heard ALL the fastpasses were given out to the Annual Pass holders, as they lined up at 5 am to get them. I don't think I will even bother to attend next year on Sat. as Sunday is a LOT more Calmer and less crowded. Didn't see the street jam, too much crowds and I had to elevate my swollen foot.

I survived my 1st SSW! I only went on Saturday (and it was super crowded!), and have decided that if/when I go again I won't go with my friends (since they are not soap fans and we ended up going our separate ways and then getting back together for dinner - which was cool!)

I didn't get any fastpasses for autographs and I was ok with that - took alot of pics while walking around. I saw Susan Luciw, Michael E. Knight, Bobbie Eakes, Erika Slezak, and these characters: Zach, JR, Adam/Stuart, Bree, Nash, Antonio, Starr (she was adorable), Carly, Spinelli (there was a ton of women around him!). Oh and the back of Cameron's head

I also saw David Canary (Adam/Stuart on AMC) and the guy that plays Cole on OLTL at the Grand Floridian on Sunday night! My friends & I were there looking at the Gingerbread House and had stopped into the ladies room before we were heading out. We came out and were standing in the hallway deciding on what to do next. I looked up and there was David Canary! I was like OMG!!! He had a couple of CMs around him and I think his wife too. My friends kept saying to go up to him, but I figured he was busy and I didn't want to bother him. Then (as we were standing there still), "Cole" comes up to us (since we were sort of blocking the exit of the bathrooms ) and says "excuse me"; as he passed next to me I recognized him. I said (again) OMG! (not like a screaming fan mind you, but I know he heard me and he knew I had recognized him). He went to seat in the lobby and was kind of hiding his face. So I figured he was tired and wanted to be left alone - so we didn't bother either of them. It was just cool that I got to see them up close.

I definitely want to go back, but I'll go by myself next time! I'll post pics when I download them.

So what did everyone else think?

Its not as sore, but its still swollen a little. I pulled a Ligament last week, and pulled it again on Friday. I saw David Canary as he was coming to his Auto Session on Sat. I shook his hand and thanked him for coming, he was very nice. I also saw a few on Fri.. at Epcot, but my camera battery died on me, so I couldn't get any photos. Christine (mickey's sunshine and her friend from work Carol) got to see Alicia (Kendall) run to the bathroom to throw up, as she was sick and was in there a good 45 min before she came out. She cancelled her morning sessions on Sat. Christine and I also saw Thorston at MK near the Haunted Mansion with his family and 2 CMs. I managed to get a shot of him, a side view. So, thats about all I can say, next year I am skipping Sat. and just doing Sunday.

I thought I posted to this thread yesterday but its not here.

Anyway, we had a good time this year. Saturday was indeed a madhouse. I have never seen it that bad. We got to the park at 7:45 and got in the AMC fastpass line but didn't even get through the turnstile until after 9:00 and all the fastpasses were gone. There were people lining up at 8:30 on FRIDAY night. Crazy, just crazy. Sunday was soooo much better. We did stay for the Street Jam on Sat night but left after Cameron and Edyta danced. I did end up getting fastpasses on Sunday for Bobbi Eakes and Jacob Young. We went to the I want to be Soap Star Sat with David Canary and Jacob Young. That was really good. We also went to the AMC Talk Show Sun afternoon. Micheal E Knight was hilarious.

Saturday was a mess. Absolutely crazy busy. Much more so than last year. Last year at least people moved so we could get photos. This year, they wouldn't budge a bit. I did manage to hit ALL the autograph sessions and snag photos. How, I don't know. I did also manage to get behind the hat and get shots of the stars after the motorcades.

I went back Sunday morning and it was so much more low key, quiet and calm. Towards noon-ish when I left it got busier.

My biggest complaint has and always will be that they have three autograph sessions around Echo Lake and then you have to trek ALL THE WAY ACROSS the park to get to the other 12. LOL. That got old.

Hey gang! I wanted to do this last year but didn't write down enough songs and by the time I got home I forgot a bunch. My plan is to make a cd of SSW music (songs played pre-talk show, piped in before motorcades, etc.). I have about 15 songs so far but I know there are TONS I'm forgetting, despite writing many down this year. If you can think of any songs that particularly stand out in your mind and/or represent SSW for you, please post them for me. I sure would appreciate it! Thanks tons!

I agree, Saturday was nuts. I think that is the worst I have ever seen it.

I was able to get 4 autographs, Thorsten Kaye, Bobbie Eakes, Alicia Minshew and Bree Williamson.

Mona, it was good meeting up with you again.

I still had fun and cant wait for next year.

I had a great time at SSW! I got there bright and early on Sunday, I was able to get autographs and pics with Bradford Anderson, Josh Duhon, Julie Berman, and Sonya Eddy. (On saturday, I went at about 4:30 pm, just to walk around and get a spot for the motorcade parade and street jam).

I can't wait til next year!
