Hi Goofs and Good Morning on Sunday

I thought I would post yesterday's information before getting down to work this morning.

Total exercise time 60 minutes, of which 40 minutes was on the TM(dreadmill) due to high humidity outside for 3.0 miles.

UP Disney: congrats on starting c25k, I did that back in January and can vouch that it works.

Off to cruise the internet for a few minutes..........;)

Good morning Goofs....and Joanne!! Here I was reading through posts in amongst working and in pops Joanne. Whatya doin up this early on a Sunday morning, ya Goof????

We got in 840 bales on Friday. It took just over 5 hours with a crew of 7. Thankfully they were really nice light bales. No I don't have great upper body strength, just as my shoulders today!!! Yesterday we decided to take an end of summer trip to Funtown USA and everyone had a great time. My DS6 got to ride the big rollercoaster and his first pic was :scared1: :sad1: :scared1: but he decided it was okay and rode it 2 more times. He also got refused for a kiddie ride because he was too tall. :goodvibes Yes, it was a good day.

Today I have 9 miles on. It will thankfully not be as humid as the past 2 days. Our last hot hurrah before school starts. We usually have one more week of it in late September-early October just as a final tease to the kids in school.

For last week, I have no miles reported from Hockeygirl, ReAnSt, Floridagirl, and Jimmduck. Anyone who has miles/minutes to report, please get those in so I can update the spreadsheet. Also, this week will continue through Sunday the 31st to finish out the full month. The following week will be a short week, Monday through Friday. This is a good thing as I am doing the Nike Human Race on the 31st and will get the double miles! I missed my 5K yesterday but it was worth it!!

Have a great day Goofs and make today your own!!!!!!!!!!!! :flower3:

Hi Goofs.

After work did 3.3 miles in about 40 minutes. Total exercise time 55 minutes as I did some abdominal work first.

Hope everyone has a great week. Hard to believe that August is ending up already. Where did the summer go?

Lynn

Hi Goofs!

Steve and I went for what we thought was going to be a 20 mile bike ride this am. After about a half mile, we decided 10 miles was going to be plenty. Ha! We were just lazy and still sore from our run yesterday. Besides, this week is supposed to be light in prep for our half-marathon next weekend at DISNEYLAND!!! :cool1:  I can't wait!!!!

Suzanne, I may be signing up for the Race for the Taste. I'll let you know for sure soon so you can sign me up on your roll call list.

Sunday, Aug. 24:

Susie: 10 miles, 1 hour (Bike + walk)
Steve: Same

Sounds great Susie, let me know!!!

Sunday update...30 mins bike/5.53 miles

Happy Monday everyone.

We are hoping for a full week of school this week, my DD only went 2 out of 5 days last week because of the storm. Now we lose 2 days of Thanksgiving break and one day of Christmas break. Unfortunately, there are more storms out there so we are not out of the woods yet.

Good morning Goofs!!

I got my LR done, 9 miles on the books. I maintained a 10:38 average up 2 killer hills! I have made a renewed commitment to my Hollis training and I think this week I am ready to go....I think...:rolleyes1 Tonight I have a chiropractic appointment and hoping for a 5 mile run, if the rains hold off!

Suzanne: I heard this morning on the news that Fay is still with you all!! Best of luck and stay dry!

Susie: Ahhhh DL half. You lucky dogs!!! :goodvibes

Lynn: I feel the same way, where did the summer go? My kidlets start school on Wednesday officially closing summer for us. :guilty:

All other Goofs: Have a super wonderful Monday!!! :cool2:

Suzanne...congrats on your race, great job, you're getting speedy!!!

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Our household now has a new driver, as my son passed his driving test on Friday--just in time for him to drive himself to school next week. No more chauffering duties--WOOHOO!!!

I did 3.2 miles today in 34 minutes with my walk/run combo. I am going to do this for a while and focus on a slightly increased pace. Sometimes I think I feel better if I run faster.

Suzanne...congrats on your race, great job, you're getting speedy!!!

Thanks Angie! Who would have thought as I was like a deer in the headlights at the Minnie. Boy did I learn alot! I still say you and your sisters should get credit for my Garmin purchase.

Suzanne: I heard this morning on the news that Fay is still with you all!! Best of luck and stay dry!

Susie: Ahhhh DL half. You lucky dogs!!! :goodvibes

Fay has been gone from my area since late Friday night, thank goodness, and so far the 2 new storms are not coming our way. Please pray, if thats what you do, for those on the east coast though who are still under water. With over 20 inches of rain, theres no where for it to go.

Susie...can't wait to hear about the Disneyland 1/2.

Suzanne, congrats on your race!

I was at WDW again this weekend, and I'm exhausted. Got a good run in on Saturday morning, though. Now I'm relying on my notoriously inaccurate Nike+ SportBand for my totals, so take the mileage with a grain of salt. Let's call it 4.24 miles in 48:35. I ran through the 3 All Star Resorts, just meandering about and looking at the different buildings, and then headed to the path alongside the road for that 1.5 mile straightaway. It was so inspiring to run on Disney property! I just wish I'd had some Gatorade or water with me -- if that stupid McDonald's really had unlocked their doors at 5 like the sign said, I would have bought some and kept on running.

I hope to hit the treadmill tonight, so I should be posting a few more miles later...

ooh! A double post for me and I'm the first Goof to wake up this morning? Cool!

I got 2.75 treadmill miles in last night. I felt slow, but finished in 32:40, which is faster than I was a few weeks back.

Good morning Goofs and super good morning to you Kim. You beat me on this morning. You are either an early a.m. person or just very sick!!!! :lmao:

Here's hoping that Gustov misses everyone in FL. We have had the rainiest summer on record for many years here. It has been very discouraging to say the least. My garden mostly molded due to the lack of sun and abundance of rain.

I hope everyone is well, you seem to be doing excellent with your workouts and working them into your busy schedules. Yay for the Super Goofs!! I will do the spreadsheet tomorrow and update you on our progress there.

As for me, I got my 5.5 miles in yesterday. I had to wait until later in the day which always messes with my mojo. I was also still fatigued in my knees and feet from the LR on Sunday so I took it really easy, kept a 10:49 mpm pace over all and really slowed down when I needed to. I am not too sore today just still in my feet. I broke my big toenail about halfway down with the stress so I will have to keep that taped. Today I have a staff meeting which means another later run for me. Hoping for 5 but will take what I get in. Tomorrow is XT and the gym.

Have a great day Super Goofs and keep working hard. It will pay off in the end!!!!
