Howdy, Goofs! Long time, no post, but I have been lurking here and updating the spreadsheet pretty religiously. We're trying to settle into the new family routine now that school has started, but with DH's tri training going on, it's a vastly different routine than it was last year at this time, when I was the only one with workouts to fit into our schedule. (Now you know why I had a whopping 1-mile run on Monday!)
Maura, sorry to hear about your face plant. I hope there were no eye witnesses. Did you come up with a better story to tell instead of the truth? Something like: "You should see the other guy"?
Wow, Angie. 6 pounds? I know it's not considered a good thing to lose that much during a run, but how pretty it must have looked on the scale! I always come back from a long run and weigh myself and then see that I've gained(!) weight. I try so hard to put a positive spin on it (as in, "I must have done a GREAT job taking in fluids"), but deep down I really do wish I'd lost at least an ounce or two to show that all that effort was doing something in the "battle of the bulge."
Rich,

for keeping up the running streak!
Shan, I hear you on the shin pain. I had a really cruddy run tonight due to shin issues. Hoping new shoes will help you and that my replacement orthotics, which are now finally showing as "in transit," will help me.
Shannon, I'm so jealous of your cruises!
Mike, looking forward to tracking you on the big day!
Suzanne, hooray for another 5K under your belt. Wishing you a great race season this year!
Maura, did you ever take your nap? I'm on

when I get to nap after my LRs on Saturdays.
Lisa, I'm so glad you've been consistent with under 10-minute miles when you run. I'm trying to jump that hurdle myself, so it's been great to watch your progress. It's frustrating because I *can* do the pace (at least, I can do it on a good day), but my brain still doesn't think I can. I only rarely set the TM to 6 MPH because I think of it as "too fast." Then whenever I run outside with my Garmin and glance at my pace and see it's in the single digits, I tell myself I'd better put on the brakes. How silly is that? If I
couldn't run at that pace, I
wouldn't be running at that pace, right?

I never thought a weekend warrior like myself would be in such desperate need of a sports psychologist!

Did you ever experience similar thought processes as you were working on your speed?
Steve, awesome job on your PR! You were almost an hour faster than my WDW half!
Cecilia, welcome back -- both from your cruise and from the unexpected detour during your long run. And congrats on the weight loss!
