quick update on me...
I ran the 5K Balloon Rally on Sunday, I had a PR AND placed 3rd in my age group!!! I owe it all to one of the coaches that was at the clinic I went to two weeks ago, he saw me there and came out on the course to meet me, and talked me through it, I ran longer than ever before, I LOVE this guy!! I'll have to do something nice for him...any ideas? I got a medal for 3rd, plus I won a raffle (fleece vest, dont really need it in August, but it will be nice to have in a few months!) AND also got introduced to a CEO of a company that "might" be looking to hire (he told me to send him my resume!)
So great start to the day, then went to the Cape for a few days, bought my DD a scratch ticket for fun when we got there, and she won $100!
Got in a 4 mile run on the Cape, nice change of pace. Back home now, time to catch up on some sleep!!
Doesn't sound like we have too many injuries (yay!) so keep on running!

I give you full permission to express yourself in your full range of silent rage and raging silence. I know the Goofs are there to listen and be unloaded on. And I am too!

I'm not as nervous about it as I was for WDW because I know I should be able to cover the distance, having done it once before, but I'm definitely not as well trained as I was going into the WDW half. Training over the summer is MUCH harder than training in the fall and winter.
Miss you all.
It feels good to be back on the road again. The coming weeks should bring more calm to my life. They have authorized the purchase of our new software product and started packing the office for the big move. Not that we know where we are going or anything. I told them I could just go home and work, no problem. I got this from the manager and other leads...
