Sunshine Rewards

I haven't had any luck with them at all. I never qualify for the surveys and I got tired of wasting my time trying; I was spending a half hour a day to get nothing but "sorry you don't qualify" over and over again, and that's just pointless IMO. So the only rewards I earn are through the handful of online purchases I make and it doesn't add up to much.

In fact with Mypoints I've taken to deliberately not qualifying and just walking away with the 10 points as a non-qualifier.
I do that all the time with MyPoints when I don't feel like actually taking the whole survey. That's why I like MP, they give you something even if you don't qualify for the survey.

I have tried various paid survey programs, including SR, and just can't get into them. I feel like the $0.60 or $0.80 they pay for a survey is not worth the 20-25 minutes it takes me to fill it out, especially when most of the time I spend 10-15 minutes on it & then am told I don't qualify. I have a couple where I'm just trying to get enough to cash out & then I plan to stop doing them.

I prefer programs where you get a lot of paid clicks, sign-ups, etc. Those take me 2 seconds to do, and I know I'll get the credit. So even if I'm only paid $0.02 per click, at least its a guaranteed $0.02 and it doesn't take me any time/effort to get it.

Sometimes, and that is why I don't do the freebie paid offers. I don't mind getting spam e-mail if it is not my main account, but I don't want to be called at home or on my cell.
I put down my work phone number if I need to give a number for a sign-up. We have caller ID so I just don't answer the phone if it's a number I don't know. Of course this wouldn't work if you deal with a lot of outside vendors in your job, but 99% of my calls are internal so I can screen out anything from online offers. I've also found that once they leave a few messages & haven't gotten a reply, they stop calling.

Nunzia, tentatively, it's changed! You can get to the stay 10 area from the link on Sunshine!

Now...don't go booking a ton based on that. Right now I'm a bit freaked out b/c it's taking far longer for DH's stay to show up...so it's possible I caused them to find the problem, and it's possible they aren't going to let me double-dip. But they have been.

I actually asked the question on the forum and no one knew if you could combine...so I did it and it *has* been working (it's the weekend, tricia's been at a seminar, so those two could be causing the delay).
Update..sooo..I went to hotels.com though SR and my account for Welcome Rewards DID come up! Looks it would work..DARN..I have booked 10 nights in the last couple months NOT using SR to get to hotels.com and it was for some pricey hotels like the Venetian and DLH..shooottt..that would have been a nice chunk.
Oh well, live and learn and will try going forward. Thanks for the heads up Molly.

I love mypoints. I have a quickerewards account, but without taking any surveys (i dont like doing them that much) cant seem to earn any money. I read on here someone said sunshine has the same surveys as quick, can you use both websites for the surveys in one day or just one? Don't want to get in trouble, thinking about starting sunshine.

Same here. If I feel like wasting that much time, I can do better to log onto Mturk or Crowd Cloud and do some mindless task for a buck or two, and their payment terms are better. Not that I make a ton at that either, but I at least keep enough flowing into my Paypal account to cover my Warcraft subscription and ti isn't a bad way to kill a half hour every now and then.

No, you can't do the same surveys twice through different sites. If they find out, they'll cancel both your accounts. If you're going to do the surveys every day, I'd pick one site to do them through so you don't accidentally repeat.

I love MyPoints too, it's really easy to get points there. The only thing that would make them better would be having Disney GCs as a reward.

Sunshine is not a paid click site. You earn through surveys and shopping. The two types of sites are really quite different. Reward sites like Sunshine are more sustainable, which means more secure, consistent rewards for their members. Sunshine is adding new merchants all the time!

I've been a member since 2/1/06 and so far I've earned over $3,600 and have cashed out for numerous Disney GC. Just since the beginning of July, I've earned over $200. Doing the surveys every day is the best way to earn, there are six surveys to take daily and it adds up quickly. I also do some shopping which helps. It's not easy sometimes, it does take work. I don't always qualify for some of the surveys and there will sometimes be days where I can only get one or two but you can keep trying throughout the day until you get them. HTH

I've been a member for several years now too and have earned just over $1,300 and I don't do a lot of shopping b/c we are usually on a tight budget ;)

The number 1 thing I like best about SR is that it is a real company run by real people. When I have a problem and email them or file a TT, they get back to me and answer it...not some auto response or trying to work through several reps to get an answer. I appreciate that and I trust them because I know they are real people, just a state away :goodvibes

On the survey issue, you HAVE to take your time and do a good job on the surveys to earn money. 99% of the time the surveys credit and your balance grows. Sometimes there are issues with the surveys, which is an issue with the survey company, not SR.

I won't do surveys on mypoints, I think of it this way: if I take the time to do the survey on mypoints I get 50 points...so I would have to do approximately 29 surveys on mypoints to get a $10 giftcard. I could do those surveys on SR and at 80cents each, I make $23.20 that I can use for Disney cards or cashout for paypal

Mypoints is always increasing the points needed for giftcards too, SR doesn't do that $1 is a $1 there, which I really appreciate.

HTH :)

Survey says! Thats the reason I am with them as well. They are amazing and real people with real feelings who really care about what you get out of online companies. If she won't do it she won't share it and I have never had a better experience with a company in my life.

And this is exactly why Sunshine Rewards is a good fit for me and the others are not. I enjoy taking the surveys - most of them are pretty interesting, and sometimes I get to try products for free and evaluate them. I also shop online as much as possible, so getting cash back for shoes or Frontline or printer ink is a great deal for me. While I do play the Sunshine Scratch Off and might win a penny or two, that is not what keeps me coming back to the site. It is the whole community of people (like the DIS budget board) sharing deals and talking Disney and trying to help each other out. The SR forum is a fun place to hang out and the customer service by Tricia and her mom and husband is the best.

There are many rewards sites, but they all seem to do things differently and concentrate on different ways to make money. What is a good fit for me might not be the best fit for you. For SR, it is mainly about the surveys and shopping with a few other things thrown in. They distinguish themselves by the great customer service and the shared Disney obsession - I get excited everytime I get a $500 Disney gift card in the mail!

It has been interesting reading all of your opinions on the different sites and also amazing at how much some of you have earned!

I have been MP member for a long time and normally only do the 5 point click emails. I guess I will just have to keep trying with SR, maybe at some point I will get lucky and figure out how to make a little money, lol.
