Just a friendly "heads up" for this company. Look out for excess charges! I used this company (web site: orlandoluxurylimo.com ) last summer with no problems whatsoever. I first turned them down due to the rate, then the owner emailed me saying he would beat any price....he did. The driver was superb, perfect service, no complaints. So it just made sense to use them again this past fall. I emailed him asking for a quote. He responded with what I considered to be a reasonable rate, with a "+" sign after it. I assumed this to mean "plus tip", just as it was the first time. Well to make a very long story short, the charge ended up being "plus tip, plus $80 administrative fee, plus toll charges", etc. Then I was not picked up for one of my scheduled times, due to a "mix up". I was not credited back the excess charges, nor even the missed pick up. I've contested this with my credit card company, AMEX, to no avail. Bottom line: BEWARE of Sunshine Car Service, aka: Orlando Luxury Limo, and owner Waseem Khan. The first time was a dream, the second time was a nightmare....and continues to be so. I've asked the owner for some sort of reasonable resolution, and he simply ignores me. Obviously I won't be using this service again, and intend to tell everyone I can to avoid him.

It surprised me that the credit card company would not reverse a charge for service (the missed pickup) not delivered at all.

Did you contest the charge within the time limit (typically 60 days from billing)?

Did either the credit card company or the limo company give you a reason why the charge should be sustained?

Did the limo company describe any incorrect actions on your part, for example your being late?

I contacted the owner about the charge the same night that it occured. He assured me he would handle it. Then the next day, there was my "no show". AMEX was contacted 2 weeks after it happened....giving the company plenty of time to take action. After waiting 2 months for them to "investigate", they concluded the charges should stand. The owner's position is, "he signed the charge ticket. If he didn't agree, he should never have signed it." While I agree with that comment, in principle, I kept a copy of every email I had with the owner....including the ones where he stated he would agree to a partial credit, as well as the one that stated, "I'll take care of it, don't worry." Believe me....do NOT use this company, you will regret it.

It gives me great pleasure to give a positive update to my original post. And it's an amazing testiment to these boards! I was contacted by the limo company's owner and offered a very satisfactory deal for my next trip. We are working out the details now, and must admit....if he sticks to the assurance he's given me, he has learned the power of Disboards! :cheer2: So from my position, everyone should feel comfortable in using this company again. As I originally stated, my first experience with them was stellar...actually better than any other limo service I've ever used in the Orlando area. Hopefully, this will bring my opinion back to that same feeling again.

Happy the hear the positive outcome! Just curious, was there any mention of why they charged an Admin Fee and such a high one at that?

There was never an explanation for this fee.....only that is was 20% of my original contracted price. The first time I used them, it was not charged. And the second time, there was no mention. The lesson I've learned from all this is....verify/clarify.....never assume anything. When you're quoted a price, ask them "Will this be my total charge? Is there anything else?"
