Sunset Lakes vs WH

Ok, I am trying to decide between saving money and staying at Sunset Lakes or go for the luxury of WH. Both houses are pretty much the same except the WH home has more high end amenities. What would you choose? Does anyone know how long it takes to get to the parks from Sunset Lakes?

Sunset Lakes is very close to the parks.

I think you have to look at the bigger picture. Will you be using the amenities and high end extras?

I am an owner and I hear all the time from our guests that they had little time to use the extras in the home if they have done a real comando style vacation. They were glad for the pool and spa because no matter how late they were out they were able to use them.

If you will be having a lot of down days you might enjoy the extras. I think it will only add to the enjoyment of your vacation.

If you pay for those extras and not use any of them will it bother you? You could always use the extra you are saving on items in the park.

I think the main thing you need to ask yourself is how long you are going to spend at the villa? If you are going to be out and about the whole time money saved on the accommodation can go towards other things. If you are planning on quite a few days around the villa what will you be happier with?

Hard decision to make but whatever you decide you will have a great time

Windsor Hills is a little closer to Disney, and is a newer development - the other attraction there is the amenities. It all comes down to what you want - as a general rule, the further out the lower the rates.

Tricky question - the resorts are very different. Windsor Hills is much bigger and busier with a much larger communal pool, clubhouse etc, and newer homes. Sunset Lakes is a very peaceful community with a small communal pool and playground. Most of the homes at Sunset have fantastic lake views (great to chill out at the end of a hectic day). The homes vary between 3-6 bed with one or two floors, they are all quite large, with varying amenities/styles (depending on the owner). There is very little difference in the distance to the parks, Sunset Lakes is 4 miles to Animal Kingdom via Sherberth.
Have a great time whatever you choose.
