Thanks MJ. You made me a little homesick for Hermosa Beach. I lived their briefly in the early 1980's. A lot of good memories of Hermosa and Redondo, especially today when the snow is once again blowing and drifting.

Okay ~ I'm jealous! I would love to live where I can see such beautiful sunsets! But silly me - I live here in the "cold country" where I get to see nasty snow more than I do beautiful hot sunny days! I have wanted to move for years, but me and my family are extremely close and I can't convince them to come with me!!

I have to be nosey, and ask ~ what are the tatoos on the girls (and Tony) foreheads!?

Great photo's. Brought back lots of wonderful memories from when I lived there. My fave restaurant was Tony's on the Pier (old). I just LOVED their salads & bread there! One of my GF's got engaged there over dinner.

Now I'm in cold snowy Michigan but someday I hope to be in Paradise again (via the Angels this time though). So. California is such a dream but it can become a nightmare if you want to buy a house! Waaaaay too pricey!

Thanks so much for sharing. It was wonderful re-living great memories!

I'm happy I live here, and yes it was beautilful, but there was one problem my friend and I were wearing SKIRTS. We were not that happy. So, while my mom was taking pictures we were freezing, and there's my mom and brother walking around in PANTS. So, we were trying to keep warm by chasing seagulls, and there they are taking PICTURES.

It was cold there, Kelly??? Looks warm to me. So nice to see you and your brother, I always love your smiles. You two are great!!!! And I sure do recall my dinner there with you both and your mom. You guys must have been sitting at thae same table, sure looks like the same view of the beach.

JC - Okay, I have to admit - when I saw your post, I was thinking "what crowds?" Then I saw the sillouettes, and though - "oh, how cool, how come I never noticed the Disney characters there?" It only took a split second to realize what you did - very clever. As you can see, I liked it so much I threw it in my siggy.

It amazes me how many people actually used to live in this area.

And, as far as my dd, Tigger*Gal, goes -- they weren't THAT cold!

Kimber79 - those "tattoes" are ashes on the kids' foreheads - we're Catholic, and it's tradition to have a cross made of ash on your forehead to mark the beginning of the Lenten season.

Dan, you liked the same pic I did. Not quite on par with you & TLK, but okay for a total amateur like me. And, it was a nice dinner, huh.... Nick would say "chicken" to that.
