Sunrise Safari

Can anyone tell me which days the Sunrise Safari is offered to the concierge guests at AKL? We are splitting a stay between BW and AKL next Oct. Wanted to make sure we are there on one of the days the Safari is offered.

Hey there~
We are spending a week at AKL CL in late July. I know that our options for the Sunrise Safari were a Sunday and a Thursday. I assume these are the only 2 days it is offered.

We were there last Nov. They were doing it on Sat & Tue. You better call to make sure. Tina

They switched it to Thursday and Sunday back in April. We'll be going in 2 weeks and I can't wait!

You may want to call and see if they have any plans to change days again.

Yes and only for concierge guest. We did it a year ago last October and plan on doing it again this October.

Just got our ressies for our August trip, and it's for Sunday morning.

We did it in November on a Saturday and it was the most incredible experience. Our guide was great and the all the kids and grown ups asked great questions. The breakfast at Tusker House was also very good but you can forget a low carb meal. Totally worth it!!

The days are sunday/thursday, & only for Concierge Guests.

It was awesome! The breakfast was great!

It was freakin' expensive!!!

But really nice. Our guide, Greg, was really knowledgeable & went overboard to answer, or find the answer to all of my irritating/stupid/ridiculous (choose one) questions.

I asked him about the news of a recent failure of an elephant pregnancy, $ we ended up having a 15 minute discussion about it, & the effects it had on the elephant keepers, and the effect it will have on the future captive elephant population the world over (hint: it is projected that in about 50 years there will not be a viable elephant population in captivity.......... anywhere.)
