Sunrise Safari

anyone ever done the sunrise safari. it sounds very cool but is it worth it to book it, or can we just wait and take a regular safari ride during the day. thanks for any info.

yes my family did the sunrise safari in march..... we had to book a night on the concierge level at akl which was quite expensive but well worth it.... this was our first trip ever!!! so like you need to check in at 7:00 am we went on a thurs. morning it was awsome!!! we were divided into 2 groups and we went on a bus to ak while it was closed..... we went in the back gates and got to see where the animals are kept at night and our tour guide was very informative...... then we get ready to go on the kilamanjaro safari ride still while the park is closed to the public...... they had just fed the animals so they were very active..... we get on the jeep and our jeep stops at every animal so we can stand up and take good pics and video.... i got so many great pics of the animals.....

then after the ride which i think took about an hour we all went to tusker house to eat a wonderful breakfast buffet..... and i would do it all over again in a heart beat!!! hope it helped....... vicki

We have done this a couple of time. It is the best tour show at WDW. You get to see more of the animals and learn a great deal about the park.
