Have any of you ladies worn sundresses to the parks? We are going in late June, so yes, its going to be hot, so I was thinking of clothes other than shorts that might be comfortable.

I did for the first time last year (June). I really liked them. Very cool and comfortable. I did invest in light cotton excercise shorts to wear underneath. I didn't want to flash anyone getting in and out of the rides. Honestly, I don't think I needed them. The sundresses were just above the knee and I never felt "exposed." I would definitely wear a sundress again.

Constantly! I find them to be much cooler and I don't feel as sticky and disheveled at the end of the day. I usually wear full length, empire waisted types that have spaghetti straps. If I wear a shorter one (above the knee), I make sure to be very careful exiting rides (Space Mountain comes to mind). ;) I also like wearing golf skirts.

Just make sure to put sunblock on your shoulders, back, and back of your neck!

I think that sundresses would be a nice option, IF you are not very likely to sunburn excessively. I am very pale, and I could NOT go with my shoulders bare, no matter how much sunscreen I put on. I wish that wasn't the case, otherwise I would wear sundresses (or even tank tops).

When we go during summer I love wearing dresses.

Pile up on the sunscreen & make sure you wear boy shorts underneath. One afternoon happened to be really breezy & even though my dress was not super short, the wind managed to lift it up high a couple of times :scared1:

My favorites are from athleta, they are feminine & practical at the same time.

Last August I wore the jersey cotton skirts from Old Navy and loved them! Very comfortable, easy to pack (no wrinkles) and light weight. Also very affordable ($15 each)

Yes I usually wear them during the evening hours. Right now Gap Outlet and old Navy have some great ones that have nice cotton linings.

I love their catalog and have been thinking about a few things. How do they run? I don't like my clothing to be too tight. Since most of their clothes are fitted (which I like as long as it isn't tight), I am not sure if I should go up a size. I'm sure I need to get it ordered in the next day or two for our trip, and I wouldn't have time for a return. THANKS!

I wore sundresses in NYC last year and loved it! I think I am going to try a few at Disney!

Thanks for the thoughts, definately will look into the shorts underneath! My 9 yr old might be embarrassed if I had a fly up! :)

just watch the normally not exposed to sun areas...upper arms and shoulders. I sunburn like a lobster turns red, so being that exposed is not an option for me. I'm jealous!

I love sundresses too - saw that Old Navy has tank dresses for $9 for women and $7 for girls on Saturday!

You will find that with athleta it's a hit or miss on everything (size, length, quality, etc).

I am short (5'3") and their dresses tend to be long for me, in some designs, they offer petite/tall.

Size wise, I always read reviews before buying anything, it is a good guide on knowing how they will fit. Another thing to consider is that in most cases their dresses are made for women with smaller breast, I am 32d & I usually have to go a size up just to make sure it doesn't fit too tight around the chest.

The good thing is that shipping & returns are free :thumbsup2 Costumer service is great!
Go to their sale selection first, their stuff is kinda of pricey.

Let me know how it goes :goodvibes

Definitely, but only with shorts underneath! :) I prefer them longer rather than shorter but I still do shorts underneath. :)

Just don't wear a white one on any ride where you might get wet:rolleyes1

This happened to a young lady on Kali River Rapids when we were there. She got soaked and it became quite transparent. She had opted to forego a bra and was wearing a thong. Her boyfried ended up taking off his t-shirt and giving it to her and they made a quick run into the gift shop.

I've worn dresses to the parks before. my only suggestion ,if you're going to wear a dress, is to wear some comfy shorts underneath (with all of the walking, it's very uncomfortable without them)
