Hey guys we are considering staying at the summmerfield suites with some friends who are staying there later this year. does anyone have any feedback on this resort?

I stayed there on business last month and can tell you that this isn't a 'resort' by any stretch.

It's a hotel, plain and simple, at the end of the very congested International Drive.

What it is good for (and I think the only thing that it's good for) is a cheap way to get 6 to 8 people into one room. It has two seperate rooms with double beds in each as well as a center living area with a large pullout couch. Full sized refrigerator with microwave, etc. Two bathrooms.

If you want to be way off the Disney grounds and stuff a lot of bodies into a decent, cheap sized space then go for it.

If you're looking for a resort with pools and fun things for the kids to do and easy transportation to Disney attractions, this is not for you.

You might want to check the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board for feedback on this hotel. We stayed a t the Summerfield Suites LBV and thought it was very clean and comfortable, with a good continental breakfast. We didn't visit the parks during our stay, so I don't know anything about the shuttles to the parks. The staff was very accommodating. The location was great- five minutes from downtown Disney, Crossroads shopping center, Winn-Dixie.
