Summer vs. Fall

I have a question and I hope someone can help me.... I currently have the 4 night Wonder booked for this November. I'm thinking of trying to get a mini family reunion going for next summer on a 3 night Wonder cruise. Well, just for the fun of it, I priced it out and I couldn't believe it!!! This cruise would cost me $500 MORE than my 4 night cruise. Is this usual? I'm thinking of June or July for next summer. Are the rates high because it's so far in advance? Is it possible that specials could be released between now and then? I know if I booked my cruise with Dreams (Nov one is with them) I'd get the lowest rate available between now and then, but trying to sell the cost to family is my biggest obstacle, since they know how much I'm paying for Nov and I doubt they'd want to pay $500 more for one night less.

June through August is higher priced. No bargains to be had!!!!!

I agree....summer is prime time...that's why is it so much more.
