Summer Vacation: Where Are You Going?

We went to WDW in May.

We'll be in Las Vegas for a long weekend in July.

In August we are spending a long weekend in Indianapolis for DH's yearly dork-a-thon.

We are also in the scheduling phase for a trip back to WDW in December.

We don't usually plan on so many trips in a short period, but we got good deals on airline tickets and such and subsequently got carried away.

A 5-day Mexican cruise from San Diego to Cabo and back with my whole family--about 40 of us. Maybe a trip up North as my niece wants to go to the Jelly Belly factory that she missed out on last time I went because of an earache. Other than that, maybe a day or 2 at Disney with her.

Lots of great trips planned:thumbsup2

We leave Friday for our 1st trip this summer:cool1:

Just got back from our California trip! We really wanted to to a New York trip . . . but after I was laid off & with all the drama in my life securing permanent employment with benefits, maybe next year . . . here's what we did; DH wanted to visit SLO and DS9 wanted Legoland; so we did what they wanted, plus threw in a Dodger game and Magic Mountain:

June 5,6 - in So Cal (Glendale) for Dodger Game 6/6
June 7,8,9,10 - San Luis Obispo/Pismo Beach
June 11 - Valencia - Magic Mountain/Hurricane Harbor
June 12,13 - Carlsbad - Legoland
June 14 - home so DS15 can start Summer School

Due to finances and kids schedules we have 1 week we can go on vacation and we have to drive. IT is a toss up between palm springs and AZ. I love the desert heat in the summer. Either one is fine with me, Palm Springs is right in our backyard and is less of a drive which might be better. I am not sure if my DH will be able to join us for part or all of it. We should also be going to Vegas for a girls weekend in Oct at another timeshare. WE also get day use privledges at a bunch of local timeshares including at the beach so that ought to keep us busy if I can talk some of my kids into missing their sporting activities. Once your kids get into competitive nearly year round sports it is hard to plan ANYTHING.

We spent Memorial day week at Vistana Village Resort and going only to the Busch parks.

The last week of August, we are going tent camping in WV for 5 days. We will go whitewater rafting, hiking, and biking. We will then go to the grandparents farm for another 3 days for my kids to ride their ATVs on the farm.

Last week, I was in Traverse City, Michigan with friends.

I am taking an Alaskan Cruise in August - can't wait!
