Hi

Sorry if this is not the correct place to ask this. We were in MGM 2005 and got talking to a girl in a restaurant from the UK, she was working the summer at Disney. How do you find out about these jobs, as DD will be on her summer break from uni and is looking for summer work. This sounds ideal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Info here. It looks like she may be too late for this year as I am sure the process is quite long.

Claire ;)

I don't know if this is the same thing however there is a uni program.
I think they recruit through the uni, as at my uni there is posters and we get emails with details on how to apply, you have to go through some sort of audition interview process. final year students are not eligible due to visa requirements as in they will no longer be a student during the summer.
I would suggest that your dd contacts the career advisor at her uni to see if they can help.

We were talking to a man in Rose and Crown at NY and he applied through yummyjobs.com if that is of any use to you.

I've applied for this quite recently, but wont hear about an interview until November time. I'm looking for a year position though, not a summer job, so that may be different. I'd email yummyjobs about it.

Yummy don't deal with the collage program they deal with the International Program which anyone can apply for. The IP is for job in Epcot World Showcase. With the CP you work for 3 months in any park.

We were talking to a girl from the UK in Epcot in sept 2005 and she was on the international programme thru yummyjobs, we've googled it a few times and there's some good info on www.wdwip.com - DD now 12 wants to do this in her gap year!! On the International Programme you work in Epcot in either retail, food and drink, or attractions, and accommodation is on secure disney property, shared with other foreign workers.

I think there's a UK diser who did the programme, gaspode I think??

The pay doesn't look great, but hey you'd be working in disney!!

I think there are other perks like free entry on your days off and discounts for family.

Good luck!

The lad we were talking to worked in the Rose and Crown in the Restaurant so he made his money up with tips, but if you end up in the shop or bar the money is supposed to be poor but at least you can work in Disney, they even offered for the lad to go home after his 12 months for i forget for how long and return to do the DCL

Hi everyone,

I'm from the UK and worked on the ICP (international college program) last summer for 3 months in my university break. I worked at MGM last year and i'm going back in 4 weeks to work for another 3 months!! I applied through yummy jobs too. There are a few programs now for internationals, not just the Epcot program.

PM me for more info if you like!
