Summer fun. Hopefully

Can anyone tell if you need to have tickets purchased for wonderland before you make the reservation? Or do you think we can purchase and make the reservation at the same time?

If Cedar Fair sets up Canada’s Wonderland’s reservation system similar to the other U.S. parks it owns, it will ask you to select a date at the time of ticket purchase.

I looked at Cedar Point’s website (also owned by Cedar Fair) to purchase a daily admission ticket and it requires a reservation date during the process.

I‘m thinking reservation dates could book up really fast, especially with seasons pass holders. I hope they impose a limit on the number allowed at a time.

Just heard on the radio that wonderland is planning to open July 7th with limited capacity.
wonder if they have been told by the gov that they can open....no word yet about that in this phase.

Opening July 5 for Season Passholders, July 7 for All Guests - Tickets & Reservations Available June 17

on their web page right now.

I would think as long as we move to stage 2 it’s a go. I can’t imagine. The headaches Ot would cause if they hadn’t confirmed.

Will be interesting to see how their reservation system works ..

I wonder what their capacity will be ? Do we know ?

Calypso is looking to open July 5 as well, no tickets available yet but I am hopeful. They are saying limited to 30% capacity, I imagine Wonderland will be similar? And wonder if I want to try and book something there, and brave the drive across Toronto.

Unfortunately the description isn't great and is open to interpretation.

I see three possible scenarios here:
- You purchase a ticket, and make a reservation afterwards.
- You purchase a ticket and make a reservation at the same time.
- Ticket purchase and reservations are completely independent of one another i.e. you can reserve first and purchase prior to your visit.

BC just announced today that we are moving into stage 2 tomorrow!

I just booked our 2 night trip to Victoria for the end of next week! Apparently the BC ferries website has already crashed!! Oops. I wasn't sure we needed reservations (going Thurs to Sat) but now I'm thinking we probably should....hopefully I can get on and secure some.

We are heading off the Island and into the rest of BC for a 10 day trip starting this Saturday! I also got stuck in BC Ferry hell until I found the phone number to go through their automated system to book! Maybe it will work for you too?

Calypso is open to book today . I booked July 10 for 8 yr old bday trip and a cabana because then we can ( ok I can feel safer ha ha when we eat and whatnot and just if we need to get out of the “crowd “ which realistically won’t be a crowd but we haven’t seen many more people than just the 5 of us lol.

Interesting, either they only opened the one week (July 5 - 11) or everything else is already booked! I'm tempted to book the weekend, maybe the 10th because I go for my second vaccine on the 11th...

We booked the 10th eeeeeeee I almost booked a cabana but it's just two of us and he won't let me sit down for long lol. Also added a locker, and parking and meals... I am so excited and not sure when I'll tell kiddo we're going.

@hdrolfe and @TammyLynn33 What is Calypso? A waterpark? I'm jealous of whatever fun thing you have planned!

Waterpark near Ottawa. They are (hopefully) reopening in Phase 2 and will be at 30% capacity so I am stoked! I will also be booking for August at least once when it opens that far in allowing registrations.

I am thinking of a trip to TO area, go the zoo for a day, then stay in a hotel near Wonderland overnight, go to Wonderland for a day, stay another night and drive home the next day... aiming for early August when I have some vacation time booked. Hate the thought of the drive, Toronto is not my thing, but I think it would be fun for kiddo. Should be in phase 3 in Ontario by then (baring any setbacks). I'll see what booking Wonderland is like when that opens up in a few days. It's not Disney but as close as we'll be able to get for awhile still.

I'll have to read up more on their waterpark, I didn't realize they have one.
