Summer fun. Hopefully

i will warn you the last time we went so 2019 I guess. The big kids and I had the all day dining , which it break even equals two meals. Lines were so long we didn’t eat twice . No idea with reduced capacity if that will mean reduced restaurants and staffing and equally long lines.. and nothing indoors is open for eating so if you pick a day it will rain .. ( our zoo day this Friday looks like rain .. fml)

I agree, I wouldn’t do the dining plan. The food isn’t good.

I just liked the teens having the drink wristband so they could grab a pop whenever they wanted.

We will likely be staying in Vaughn near Wonderland as I do not like driving much in Toronto so once we get to the hotel I don't want to have to go far to get to the park or places to eat :) There are a few places, Novotel Toronto Vaughn or Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Vaughn.

I am adventurous, my son is not. He is most excited about the hot dogs, and the rides, but beyond hot dogs he probably doesn't care much about the food. Personally, I'd like anything but :D He is funny that he doesn't like pop/soda, nothing with bubbles! So I am not sure the drink thing is for him. I do hope the line ups aren't too bad for things, given the reduced capacity.

Me too. I just think reduced admissions will equal reduced staff.. ( like Disney )

So who’s trying to get wonderland reservations this morning? Hopefully it’s not too difficult.

In queue, 14000 ahead of me so... i was on at 9 but couldn't find the place to get in line? Any way, I already bought tickets so this better work out lol.

I used the app, not sure how but I was able to book my day through there, even though there are still thousands ahead of me on the webpage. Weirdness. Any way! I am booked for August 10th at 10am. Only Wonderland, decided not to add the waterpark to the day, we'll probably go to Calypso a few times here if we can. And then we can do all the rides in Wonderland (multiple times according to my kiddo). Phew! That was stressful, as bad as booking fastpasses

When I got on I had about 6000 in front of me. It took about 30 mins to get through. I was able to get the day I wanted no problem.

It was weird, on the webpage I had to wait but in the app on my phone I was able to just pick a date and didn't have to wait. I did have to type the ticket numbers a few times, my fat fingers kept getting numbers wrong. I'm not sure why the app worked so much faster but I got an email confirmation so I'm happy!

Now I wait for the Zoo to open slots around the same date to complete the trip.

I couldn’t find where to reserve on the app. They didn’t make it easy lol.

No they did not! I was looking at my tickets and there was a "reserve" button there, I had the tickets open since I knew I'd need them for the reservation. Pure luck lol.

Yeah it wasn't too bad. I found out through trial and error that you can only book one park + splashworks though. Pity

I was surprised to see time slots starting at 11:30 for the park/splashworks combo. We normally go early and do some of the rides with long waits before hitting the waterpark. I think the limited capacity will be a good thing.

I hope so. It will be interesting to see. But at this point I don’t think we care if have to wait in long lines. We are just excited to get to go do something soon.

I booked just the park with 10 AM entry, but we had decided not to do the splashworks since we have Calypso here. Just happy to have something booked for summer! Will book a hotel nearby once we are able to book the zoo as well.

Yeah i was disappointed in that. But with limited capacity there shouldn't be a giant rush for spots.

BTW I reread the rules for Splash Works and masks are required for restrooms and food lines only. So no masking up when going on the slides.
