Summer Discount for Disney+ Subscribers

Reporting back with another update because I wasn’t ready to give up yet! Had to get creative too with this solution but ended up saving money thanks to the special offer.

Original YC Package Price (resort and park tickets) = $2924.58. I split the YC stay to get Disney+ discount as follows and the second amount includes our park tickets:

YC Water View CL first night (room only) = $745.04

YC Water View non-CL two nights = $1876.26

New grand total using this split stay combo = $2621.30

Saved $303.28

That's great! Which room category at CBR if you don't mind my asking? I'm wondering if there's any data points about room categories other than pirate rooms being included at CBR.

Hi! I’m not the original poster but here is my data point for CBR. Only preferred rooms were available for my 9 night trip mid July with the discount. We had a 5 person standard room that was previously booked. The preferred room with the discount was still over $300 more than the standard room at rack rate.

We have a trip booked in September, standard room at CBR and could not apply it to our reservation. Says this room type is unavailable. It’s what I was expecting.

I had the same thing happen for pofq … I switched to POR preferred , added a day and Still Saved. Keep trying and consider looking at other resorts? Good luck! Frustrating to think the person next to u may be paying 25 percent less! Crazy! Pixie dust ur way.

So, I was booked at Wilderness Lodge nature view. That wasn't included in the discount and even the rooms that were included were only 10% off. Less than a value. I was going to change to a savanna view at AKL, but it would have been a lateral move and I really couldn't justify it. So I started playing around with some of the resorts. I canceled my nature view at WL (maybe next time WL) and we moved to Old Key West deluxe studio. Why? Because it saves me almost $1000.00. For that amount of money, I will switch resorts. We won't be in the room much anyway, so I am okay with it.

We're looking for a standard 5th sleeper at CBR, so I'm guessing we're going to be out of luck finding anything for this discount. Wouldn't be adverse to a preferred 5th sleeper or waterview, but these might actually be more pricey than what I booked the standard for, even with the discount. Definitely don't want a pirate room, but I guess no one else does either, hense the availability, lol!

okay... this is absolutely absurd...............

MDE is in my wife's name. I signed up for D+ under my name. We already have a reservation (it is in October), but I said, well, just in case they do this in October, let's put the D+ subscription under your e-mail because the booking sight says we have to be logged in under the same e-mail address.

So I logged into D+ on my laptop, and clicked on change my email address. I put hers in and it says I CAN'T update it to her address because it is "already in use". Disney's help page says:

"Updating Disney+ email address and password

The email address and password you use when signing up for Disney+ act as your login credentials. Keep in mind, The Walt Disney Company uses a unified registration system, meaning you have a single Disney account using one email address for several Disney digital products and experiences. "

So, since her e-mail account already exists, it won't let me use it any more than I could use Lebron James or Tom Hanks email address because they already exist and are in use. So am I SCREWED? How can I link D+ to MDE if it won't let me use her email address? And I DON'T want to change MDE to my e-mail address because she handles all the bookings/reservations etc through her email.

Has anyone else run into this and found a way to resolve it?

Not sure if you have received a response yet but you can call. I did this yesterday and they were able to add my email as a “shadow” to our account under my husband’s name.

Go to the WDW website and iogin using your Disney+ account. Scroll to the bottom of the front page and click on Special Offers. It will take you to a secondary screen to confirm that you are logged into your Disney+ account. Click Continue (or whatever the blue button says) and you will navigate back to the offers resort page where you can see the details of the offer.

You inspired me to check availability again! I originally booked YC, but had to switch to BW to get the discount. Then I saw your post this morning and I checked online and saw YC was available! Switched back to YC and I"m so happy!

Yes. I read in the fine print that you must be an active subscriber at the time you check in.

No, the offer is only for trips between 7/8-9/30
