ahhh...okay. I just kept reading that people were saying they got the new discount on top of their already discounted reservation!! I called to see and my AAA discount was better than the new code so I left it alone. Thanks!

When I booked with AAA I saved $326.25 over rack rates for my package 10 nights at POR. The summer rate saved me an additional $135. This was by replacing my AAA with the new code. I was paying $116/night before tax with AAA and this code is $104/night. If I had never booked with AAA I could have booked with CRO when this package came out and saved a total of $461.25 over rack rates.

For value resorts the AAA discount was actually better than the summer code. AAA gives you 20% off value and moderate resorts during value season. 20% off the $82 standard room rack rate for a value resort is $16.40 but the summer code was only $13 off. The AAA discount for a prefered room was nearly $20.

For a moderate standard room the rack rate for value season is $145. A 20% discount on that is $29. The summer code was $41 off so much better than AAA.

Ok, here is my next question and this may have already been asked, but my brain is not quite working...is the discount more for package deals than room only? The way I read, it seems to be more for package deals then room only. The only discount I got was for room only. Is this correct, or should I be insisting on another call to WDW?

The discount is only on the room and you pay the same room rate if you book a room only or package.

thank you thank you thank you, I was just so confused since there were different codes out there. Why have different codes for the same discount? Makes no sense to me.

We originally had free dining booked from 9/22-9/28 at POFQ. We really like staying there and we also love WL. So when I saw the room only deal on mousesavers I knew we would figure out a way to use it. I called this am and was able to shorten our stay at POFQ from 9/22-9/25 but with 7 day park hopper and free dining. Then we booked room only @ WL from 9/25-9/28. We dont have free dining the last three days but three days is enough. We learned that last year when we were constantly stuffed.

So we get to stay at both of our favorites and it is a few dollars less but we will have to pay for food the last three days.

I currently have a MYW with dining at the WL 8/17-22 and Poly 8/22-28.
I booked with AAA. I asked my agent if she could apply the ZJV or ZJZ code. She reported there was no availability for those dates.
I asked her to try again- you never know!

Here is my experience trying to get the discount...

We have 8 nights booked from 8/20 - 8/28 at WL Woods view bunk beds.

I called to get the package rate (tickets, no dining plan) at the Poly... no availabilty. Same for WL. I then go online to Disney click on the specials and can get room only at the Poly for $254. Great. I click on the link to add tickets which would then turn this in to a package and get no availabilty. Since we don't really care about the the little extras included with the package I booked the room only at the Poly and will order tickets separately.

It does appear that they have separate inventory for packages and room only reservations.

Does anyone know if the DDP can be added on to a reservation at check in? If it can then those people having trouble getting package deals may have an easier time doing room only and adding tickets and dining at check in.

I had a similar experience. Online their was a standard room available at the discounted price at the Beach Club so we thought about adding on a few days - room only, no tickets. I called and was told there were no rooms available, even though I could see it online. I hung up and reserved my room for 2 nights online. Don't know why they couldn't see it with the discount though???

They can be booked online, with Central reservations or a Travel Agent.

I had free dining booked at WL..have made so many changes..VWL..different rooms at WL..then got stuck in CL Honeymoon Suite...not happy abt paying so much.

Was able to use the code for my dates...."technically" paying for dining now, but with the code I am actually paying the same amt that I had booked way back when in April for the Courtyard view!! Getting $600 back....am happy.

You can't use the code and free dining together. It is one or the other. In your case the free dining is the better deal. A $80.00 savings a night instead of a $13.00 savings a night.

ok.. my question .. i booked 6 nights with the BUL codes.. the only value that they had was all start sports. We really wanted Pop century.... should i be calling to see if any rooms have opened in pop? Do they release more rooms, or when they are gone they are gone?? We got a Fab. deal and will stay at All star Sports... But POP is our fav!!
