Summer Code - July 29 – September 29, 2007 travel

I have WL booked, standard room for 4 nights at $140 a night. If I wanted to add 1 day base tickets AND the dining plan, how much is the dining plan? I know we could eat cheap OFF the dining plan but I would rather pay the dining upfront and not worry about having to have money down there (I know I could add my credit card to the room and charge it). How much would it cost for 2A, 1 day base tickets and adding the DDP? Thanks!

The Dining Plan is approx. $40 per person per night's stay.
So you are estimating $80 per night you are at the WL. I think you said 4 nights, so: a little less than $320.

Hope that helps.

According the AAA TA, I can book a moderate plus 6 day hopper and dining for the same price as the current package I have with the Pop Century with 6 day hopper and Dining. Should I upgrade? The only Mods available are POR, POFQ or CB.

I have a package for 8/18 through 8/25 (Pop Century, 7 day tickets, and dining). I called to ask about the ZJV or ZJZ codes and was told that they are PIN codes and that I am not eligible because it isn't attached to my contact information. The CM said that only those people who received a postcard or e-mail with a special identifying number to go with the code can receive the discount. She checked my info, and there is nothing there for me.

I called again and was told the same thing by a different CM.

Does that sound right? It seems like others in my situation are getting a discount. Any help?

Sandi,

The same thing happened to me. I hung up and followed the advice on this website, and called back. The next CM I got was able to apply the code.

I would try again!

She called yesterday and they said it was unavilable to me, then she decided to call back this am and the CM was able to apply it . Got me back $322.00. I'm sooo happy, since our plane tickets for the two and us were almost $1,000.00. I was hoping for at least some kind of discount. Now we can spend more at the gift shops!!!! See...dreams can come true. Hope everyone gets some pixie dust their way!

As I've stated previously. Alot of CM's have been misinformed. You need to keep trying. Just simply call back until the CM is able to get you what you need. I had to talk with 5 different CM's before I was able to apply the code to the Poly in early august.

I'm soooo bummed right now. I have been hoping and hoping for a code or discount of ANY kind for our August honeymoon, but we're still paying rack rate and paying for dining. I'm a full time student and my husband is an associate pastor, so we're really stretching the budget by staying at a deluxe.

I called about the package code and the CM said that yes, he could apply it to our reservation, and quoted me a new price that was about a $500 savings! I was elated. He then said he needed to check something with guest services, put me on hold for 10 minutes, came back and said it was an error, that the rate did not apply at AKL after all. :sad1:

Still, I'm glad that other mid-August guests are having better luck!

I feel your pain! I was told the same thing, that it was showing available in the system but would not let the CM confirm. I was also put on hold for more than 10 minutes (never a good sign!) and told it didn't apply to AKL. Then they offered to move me to Poly or BC for more money but with the discount. No thanks! I'll keep AKL without a discount, we've never stayed there and DH is actually excited about it!

I would keep trying! Last night I was able to modify my parents' POP
package for 8/22-8/27. I only saved them a little bit but it did work!

We just saved $323 on our Aug 11th - 18th vacation. We are staying at POR for 7 nights with 7 day MYW base tickets and DDP (2A 3C). I asked for code BUL because the first time I called they told me that the codes ZJZ and ZJV were not valid codes. They even applied the discount to the blackout date listed on the website. I made him repeat all the details back to me twice just to make sure in all my excitement that we still had all the same dates, plan, etc.

I received the postcard a couple of days ago, but was under the impression that as long as my AAA TA made all the arrangements, I cannot call directly and use these codes as I do not "own the reservation". Is this correct info?

I did contact my AAA TA today and she was able to save me $131 using the ZJZ code.

But can someone please provide clarity going forward for any postcards received, etc. Does my TA have to be the one to call to apply the discount and, if so, can I use the postcards?????

So an additional $472. To add the dining and the base tickets. The base tickets will be used in Dec to get APs. So those wont go to waste. Now I just need to sit and figure out WHAT we will eat and if its worth it. I know we will do at least one or 2 TS. But I guess what I need to make sure of is that we can get ADRs first! If we can, then I need to consider the DDP or not

Thanks for the heads up! It was a no go for us for our one night, room only POP stay before our free DDP pigout begins, but glad to hear so many others of you are getting it.

FYI: I was told the BUI/BUK were pin codes, and I couldn't use them, but the BUL listed on WDW website would have worked, had there been availability.

Good luck everyone!

I was on the WDW website and didn't see where to apply the codes. Where is it???

We called 3 times before we got a CM who helped and applied it! The first CM said she had never heard of the code, but did look it up. The second said the code we gave was for a package only without dining and the third knew what she was talking about! We had to switch from POFQ to POR, but that was not really hard to do since they are sister resorts! Keep trying! My DH just called the third time and told her "I have couple codes and I want to see if either of them can be applied to my existing package?" She came back online and stated that it was not applicable and he asked if if would goes towards another resort. She put him on hold and came back and said "I can save you almost $300 if your willing to switch to POR". So we said YES!!
Good luck!

Try this:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/special/offerDetail?id=07_AugCYODOfferPage

If that doesn't work, from the main page, click "purchase a package," then click "special offers" and then click "find the best fit for your family." It describes the specials (values for $69 per night; mods for $104 per night; SSR for $169 per night), then there's a place to click "book your stay online now." Good luck!

Any other comments/suggestions?

We love POR/FQ and CBR, and I'd jump at the chance to stay at a mod for the price of a value. But I also love POP, and if you can get the discount off your value package, and use the extra $$ for the rest of your vacation, that's a great deal, too. Basically, it comes down to whether you'd rather have the extra $$ or the upgrade to the mod. Of course, if POP is sold out, I'd definitely do the upgrade instead of paying the same price for the value resort that you could get at the mod. Either way, have a great vacation!

A BIG thank you for these codes! I saved $117 on 3 nights at WL and $41 on 4 nights at POFQ over my AAA rates. Not all that much, but every little bit helps :)

just looked at bill for 2 nights room only before free ddp using aaa discount $148 (inc tax)."nights using new offer $155 (inc tax).
The $69 is the rate before tax so you have to add it on
Paulh

Yes, Value season POP rates are $ 82 (not $ 99) and so the AAA rate (20% off) is $65.60 before taxes and $73.80 with taxes, still better than this new code rate. Our AAA TA ran the numbers for me and the price for 4 nights at the POP with the new code rate would have been $15 more than the AAA discount rate.
On the other hand we had 2 nights booked at Coronado Springs and got a nice little discount on that, $26 less per night! Yay!
