We were able to save $253 off of our Poly reservation for the 3 nights before our free dining package.

We requested bldg 4,6 or 7. It will be me, DH and DS7. My DH suffered a compound fracture of his leg two years ago and walking long distances is hard on him. We thought these bldg's were the closest to the bus stop, food court and pool. I am really hoping for bldg 4. We'll see.

I would not request bldg 7 if you want to be close to the food court & bus stop. #4 would be perfect for you but I think #3 would be better than #7. I was at FQ twice last year-once in #4 and once in #7. We were about the last room-closest to POR in #7. It was a nice location but about as far from food court as you can get.

Looks like no go for this discount, my AAA agent contacted Disney and this was the answer I received from her:
"Just got off the phone. We would need to cancel your reservation. And,then rebook. They do not have any more of the 'discounts' available.
Looking back at my notes, I did try to cancel and rebook your
reservation when this promotion came out. At that point, I couldn't add
it without jeopardizing your reservation. I was going to call you, if I
could do this....I have been successful occasionally. Unfortunately,
not at this time"
Strange that some people have been able to have the code applied to existing reservations, but sounds like we are not in luck. Oh well.....

I have a package for 8/18 through 8/25 (Pop Century, 7 day tickets, and dining). I called to ask about the ZJV or ZJZ codes and was told that they are PIN codes and that I am not eligible because it isn't attached to my contact information. The CM said that only those people who received a postcard or e-mail with a special identifying number to go with the code can receive the discount. She checked my info, and there is nothing there for me.

I called again and was told the same thing by a different CM.

Does that sound right? It seems like others in my situation are getting a discount. Any help?

The same thing happened to me. They said I did not have the pin in my profile. I called back again and the cm told me I already have the same package.?? I dont know

I feel for you..... but I can see why there is no availability at AKL....
They just started selling the DVC for AKL. And there is a lot of construction still going on.
Not sure how....but I think they are converting a lot of the top floor rooms to DVC. And that would involve adding kitchenettes, and 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom villas.
Then next year they will be building the other buildings at AKL for DVC.
Good luck with a discount for AKL..... but I doubt you will get it right now.

Here is my experience trying to get the discount...

We have 8 nights booked from 8/20 - 8/28 at WL Woods view bunk beds.

I called to get the package rate (tickets, no dining plan) at the Poly... no availabilty. Same for WL. I then go online to Disney click on the specials and can get room only at the Poly for $254. Great. I click on the link to add tickets which would then turn this in to a package and get no availabilty. Since we don't really care about the the little extras included with the package I booked the room only at the Poly and will order tickets separately.

It does appear that they have separate inventory for packages and room only reservations.

Does anyone know if the DDP can be added on to a reservation at check in? If it can then those people having trouble getting package deals may have an easier time doing room only and adding tickets and dining at check in.

No, you can't add the DDP on at check-in.

I love the DIS!!! I already had a discounted package for AKL (a pin code offer in March), and I was trying to add the latest discount code. Today I finally had success, and they took $163 off my already discounted rate, bringing my savings for that package to $400! Yeah!

I would think she would need the code to get the discounted price. At least she would have to ask for the summer room special. I just booked with AAA yesterday and the agent said he had the code on the memo sent to AAA agencies in front of him, he definitely used it to get the discount.

wait a minute....I have seen several posts here and there about people adding this current discount to their existing discount (whether it be AAA, pin code offer etc) how are you all getting this in addition to your existing discounts?? I thought you couldn't have two discounts at the same time??? Are you sure it's in addition to and not in place of your previously booked discount?

It may have replaced the discount I had, but it was definitely a better deal!

ahhh...okay. I just kept reading that people were saying they got the new discount on top of their already discounted reservation!! I called to see and my AAA discount was better than the new code so I left it alone. Thanks!

Ok, here is my next question and this may have already been asked, but my brain is not quite working...is the discount more for package deals than room only? The way I read, it seems to be more for package deals then room only. The only discount I got was for room only. Is this correct, or should I be insisting on another call to WDW?
