My mom is fairly new to scrapbooking even though she has been doing it for years. Everything she owns fits in one rolling tote (hard to imagine). Anyway, her birthday is in three weeks. She made the comment to me that my step sister and I have such cool "tools" and she would like to get some. I have no idea what "tools" she is referring to, but i would like to get her some. Personally my main tools are a paper cutter and my cricuts and maybe my cuttlebug. My mother has very little extra money, so buying her a cricut is really out of the question since she cant afford any new carts. I was thinking cuttlebug, but I don't think she would really use it.
Here's why...
She has a very classic style of scrapping. She scraps really old black and white photos and uses paper and embellishments that suits that time. Her "theme" makes every page look like it came from the 1800's. It does look really cool, I have to admit, but I don't think the cuttlebug has any dies that would work...maybe the frames?
I have already bought her two items. One is a thing from Provo Craft (I am drawing a blank), it has a sander and a chisel and an embossing head and few other things. Sort of an all purpose tool. the other thing, are these pens that write like pens and then puff up when dry. She saw similar pens at a scrap show we went to. She liked the idea of adding a little color and dimension to old b&w photos.
Any suggestions what else to get her?
