We will be going in May for our anniversary. DH and I have looked at the menus and we find that we are pretty plain when it comes to what we like. We like steak, but without any kind of sauce. We love seafood, but mainly broiled. We really are not picky, but we do not care for the "fancy" type food. We love a relaxed atmosphere.

Here is what we have we think we want. We will be on the dinning plan, but we know we will have to buy at least on sitdown meal while we are there.

MK day - Ohana's (It looks like a lot of fun)

Epcot - Rose & Crown

We are having trouble with MGM and AK. Does anyone have any suggestions? We will not have a car, but we will not be in a big hurry. What would be a good place for our anniversary dinner?

Thanks!

Kristy

jiko at AKL; artist point at WL; yachtsman steakhouse at yacht club--all would be an excellent choice. in the parks, brown derby in mgm; cinderella's in MK; not sure about epcot/world showcase. hope this helps! :earboy2:

I think Yachtsman Steakhouse would be great for your anniversary dinner also. And while at MGM, if theres nothing you like there, you could always walk/boat over to Boardwalk or Beach club and try ESPN, or Beaches & Cream.

You sound like me, being a plain eater and not liking any of that fancy stuff.
FWIW, I love Ohana, so I think thats a good choice. ;)

As for a restaurant in MGM, we really enjoy Mama Melrose. We dont usually eat in AK, so I dont have any good suggestions for there.

And for your anniversary dinner, we had the same dilemma last year. After going over(and over and over) the menus and knowing we wanted to be in the Epcot area that night we went with Yachtsman Steakhouse. We were very glad we did and will be going back again on our anniversary this year. It was amazing.

One of our favorite places if Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. They have an AMAZING steak there. I get it every time we go! Also, you can sit at the "counter" area and you can see the chefs prepare the food.

Also, you might try LeCellier, great steaks there as well.

We have been to Yachtsman a few times, and the last 2 have been just okay.

Happy Anniversary and have a super trip!!! :)

Thanks! I thing we will go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. It looks great!

Any other suggestions we are sill open!
