Suggestions for a "grownup" meal with my picky-eater DH?

I don't think this is as hard as we are all making it.
The following places have pizza on their kids' menu. Many of these have fries as well that can be substituted for one of the sides.
MGM-
Sci-Fi & Mama Melrose

Epcot -
Coral Reef, Akershus(princess meal), Le Cellier, and Rose & Crown

MK-
Tony's Town Square

AKL- Jiko
Boardwalk- Spoodles
GF- Grand Floridian Cafe
OKW- Olivia's Cafe
POR- Boatright's
SS-Turf Club Bar & Grill
YC- Yacht Club Galley
DD- Wolfgang Puck Cafe

I say you pick a couple where the menu looks good to you. As a previous poster said, you can offer to pay adult price for the kid's meal. And, chances are they won't charge you extra, especially if you are enjoying some yummy adult beverages along with your meal. This way, DH can have his pizza, you can have the atmosphere of your choosing, and you can enjoy a night out together.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I checked out the pub (forgot what it's called) and I also looked up the Beaches and Cream place. The Yachtmans Steakhouse is a no-go. He absolutely will not eat a steak or anything else I saw on their menu. I'm serious when I say that he will refuse anything but pizza or fries. I could go into detail about what he will and won't eat, but I'm afraid to bore you all with all the details. But, I will say, he's 38 and when we go to O'Charley's, all he gets is an order of fries and he eats the rolls.

Let's just say his tastebuds have not advanced since he was two. And no, I doubt his diet is doing him any good.

From what you are saying, I would think about possibly going to Beaches n Cream at the Beach Club. Excellent burger and fries joint that has a classic ice cream parlor feel to it. Just know that they do not take ADRs and the place is tiny so you may have to wait a bit (it can get quite busy when its warm outside).

Another possibility is the Boardwalk area with the Big River Grille and Tapworks. If that does not work, Spoodles has an outdoor pizza window and then you can have a nice outside date night on the pier taking in the Boardwalk activities that are going on.

Having said all of that, I really feel for you. Your husband seriously needs to branch out a bit. Especially at DW where the pizza kinda stinks anyway.

How about Spoodles? It's a short walk a way from Epcot. I used to prefer it more than I do now since they've changed the menu and made it more plain. There still are a few good med dishes and they do have plain pizza (it's not on the actual menu but you can get at the pizza window, so I'm sure you can order it).

Take him to the incredible buffet at Boma in the AKL. If he can't find something
to eat there, you need to trade him in.

I was thinking the same thing! Just earlier tonight, DH and I were talking about going there on our next trip in 2 weeks. We were at WDW after Thanksgiving and tried alot of new restaurants (Kona, Sci Fi, Brown Derby, Biergarten and more) and both thought the burger at Beaches & Cream was one of the best things we ate all week! One of the more reasonable, too! Can't wait for another!

You say pizza and fires...is that it? Or maybe fried stuff too? If he will eat fried stuff I suggest the Germany Buffet. The Pork Schnitzel is to die for. It's battered and fried pork. Oh my I'm drooling just thinking of it Or if Fried Chicken would work try Wolfgang Puck's. The Macadamia Nut encrusted chichken is great too. You really cant tell the coating is nuts. Just have them put the sauce on the side. But make him try the sauce OH MY! More drooling
