We are flying in & out of Dublin and spending a few days there. We are looking for any suggestions:

• Places to stay
• Places not to miss

Thank you for any tips.

It’s about 1.5 hours from Dublin but I’d highly recommend a guided tour of Derry where Bloody Sunday occurred. Seeing it really helped me to understand “the Troubles” better. You can watch Derry Girls leading up to your trip if you’re interested, it’s on Netflix and I thought it was hilarious.

What do you like? It is easier to give advice if you give some specifics. Like with every city trip, there is always more to do than you have time for. So you either can stick to the list of highlights google gives you, or only look into the aspects that interest you.

- If you like to drink, you can't leave without having a guinness.
- Irish ancestory? The emigration museum.
- Into Game of Thrones, look into the film locations.
- Like art? Go to the National Gallery or the IMMA.
- History buff? Plenty of castles and the national museum.
- Love nature? Great views all around and a national park nearby.
- Want to kiss the Blarney Stone, it's 3 hours to the South by car.

My family keeps adding to the list 😂
So far, they have mentioned:

•EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum
•Book of Kells exhibition at Trinity College
•National Museum of Ireland
•Dublin Castle
•Christchurch Cathedral
•Guinness Storehouse
•Jameson Distillery
•Howth Cliff Walk
•Malahide Castle

My husband and daughter-in-law have Irish roots.

We are adding Dublin to a trip to visit our son in Barcelona.

Very excited!
Two awsome places. Enjoy visiting both. Each country also holds different festivals during different times of the year, so if you know the exact time of your trip, you can see if special events are being held in Ireland and Spain during your vacation.

Thanks for the info!

We are going in November. Trying to learn as much as possible.
