DH and I were thinking of renewing our vows in November for our 10-year wedding anniversary but have decided to spend the $$ on a nice dinner for our kids (2) and our parents and then maybe try to get the cruise that goes out during Illuminations. We were thinking of having dinner at one of our favorite Epcot Restaurants, but then we realized our parents would need admission to Epcot and DHs Dad is only arriving that evening and will probably not get more than a one day pass for the following day. Can anyone recommend a restaurant at one of the resorts in the Boardwalk area. We are DVC and stay at BWV. We were wondering about Palio or Yachtsman Steakhouse, we've never been to either. Thanks for the help. :flower:

DH and I are HUGE fans of Palio. The food is wonderful, as are the staff. There is even a strolling musician playing a mandolin (at I think it is a mandolin!). It has the most authenic Italian food we have had in the Southeastern part of the US since we returned from an overseas military tour in Italy.
And to make it even better, if you are DVC members, you get 20% off your food bill!!

I forgot to mention one other place. We tried Todd English's Blue Zoo on our last trip. If you enjoy sefood I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was unlike any of the other reastauants in WDW that I have been to. It looks non-friendly for kids, but our 2yr old DS was just fine. The tables are arranged ina way that other diners won't bother you...which is good because my son thought we were still at the HDDR and was twirling his napkin over his head!!

I have tried both Palio & Yachtsman Steakhouse for the first time over the past year. I was very happy with both, but I preferred YSH. While Palio was very good, YSH was excellent, and every course was just perfect.
We are going back to YSH for our 10th anniversary this year. ;)

Congrats on 10 years to you!

Both Palio and Yachtsman Steakhouse are among our favorites at WDW. Both are more adult oriented places (although you will, of course, find plenty of kids there) with great food and service. In my experience, Palio tends not to be as crowded as YS, so it may be a little quieter. In the end, it just depends whether you want steak or Italian for dinner. Either way, you can't go wrong.
