Hello all!

This is so last minute (we're headed out 10/10/12 and will have three days in the park with park hoppers), but my boyfriend and I have decided we might want to try a sit-down restaurant for the first time. I've been going to Disney annually since I was very young and we've NEVER done anything but Quick Serve! Needless to say...no idea what to do!

We know for sure we want to do something IN the parks, we just don't know what! Or if there would even be a possibility to make reservations for two people at this time. We do know we want to do lunch or just any restaurant under the $36 mark ($$).

We were thinking about the Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot. I just think that looks so cool! Can you see the fish from every seat in the restaurant? Is the food good?

Any other suggestions for us would be greatly appreciated! And I assume we need to make our reservations ASAP! :P

I would go to the disney web and see what is open, then that can help you choose a few to try. We like Coral Reef.

Where to start... Second that first things first is I would check the Disney restaurant reservation system or give Disney a call.

You might be hard pressed finding a ressie for Coral Reef but it is worth a try. We ended up cancelling our reservation for Coral Reef last minute on our last trip since we wanted to get in a parade at MK so it is possible that something would open up.

There are so many options, just depends on what you like. We did a lot of character dining (buffets) and loved since the options were so wide open and you could eat as much as you like. :thumbsup2 You can also look at allears for restaurant reviews - those are pretty helpful. Enjoy your trip!

We ate there a few years ago and were able to sit at a table next to the glass. It is kind of dark in there and our food was not all that. I would just visit the land to see the fish and then get a little better meal in the World Showcase area. ADR's are gonna be slim for you at this point.

If you aren't sure where you want to eat, and given that availability may be a problem, go to the Disney Dining reservation page. Plug in the date and meal that you want (ie: just select lunch instead of a time) and leave the restaurant name blank. When you do this and hit search for a table it will bring up a list of all the restaurants at WDW that have availability for that period. You can make your ADR from this list.

As an example, I just plugged in 10/11/12 and lunch. It came up with a list of 42 restaurants. A similar search came up with a list of 59 for dinner.

From the lists, do a check of the menus and see which ones appeal the most to you.

Wow! That's awesome. I didn't know that feature was there! Much easier than going through every restaurant and searching. :cheer2:

Are you going to DHS? If so i would consider Sci-Fi Dine In. The atmosphere can't be beat, ADRs are (usually) fairly easy to get, and it's reasonably priced (by Disney standards:)) for a TS.

I can make a lunch out of the onion rings and a shake but I hear the burgers are really good too.
