If someone is staying off property and the MK listed opening time is 9:00, what time should they arrive to see the opening ceremony with the characters? What if it's an EE day?
Thanks! :wave2:

If you're staying off site, you don't want to go on an EE day. On regular hour days I'd say you want to be positioned at the turnstile area at least 15 minutes ahead of time. Allow plenty of time to journey from TTC if you're going that route. MK used to admit people about a half hour prior to the posted time, but I haven't witnessed that since 9/11(maybe they still do on heavy attendance days?)

If you have a breakfast priority seating for one of the Magic Kingdom restaurants you can get into the park early! Usually the characters will be gathering shortly before the park officially opens. It's a great opportunity to take pictures of the castle and Main St. without anyone else around. :wave2:

I went early last Tues. with my 2 DS's. We arrived at 8:30 and were 1 family away from the rope. within the next 15 minutes the area behind us was jammed. at 8:45 the Main street reporter came out to welcome everyone, shortly after the train arrived loaded with all the characters. They dropped the rope at 8:55. We proceeded to Frontierland to a second rope and that was dropped at exactly 9. We were among the first to ride Splash Mountain (we walked on 3 times in a row).
It was a blast being some of the first in the park.
