Aw thanks! I liked it too!

It really is :) I was so excitedd!!!! Hehe that was a pretty good one huh.

Oh, Kristen, this is random but... well, I think I mentioned I made two Pottermore accounts (I'm RoseErised134) just so I could re-do everything after I got my first account since it goes by quickly and I had a Harry Potter moment on the second account, literally. I went into many questions, like it was longer than my last one, much longer and I'm pretty sure at the end, it came down to Gryffindor and Slytherin and guess what house that accounts in? SLYTHERIN! Yeah, should've picked heads! Then, after, I was thinking about trying to fail all my potions so I could lose points and make Ravenclaw totally win.... yeah, Slytherin is the house for me lol But I'm not doing that by the way Just had to tell you that, since you would totally understand my nerdiness.

Hahaha aww I'm sorry! I'm in Gryffindor and I LOVE it. :thumbsup2 Harry Potter is awesome!

:lmao: There's a reason I don't drink and use the internet at the same time...

Yum, my mouth is watering. Reading about all this great Disney food makes the trek to the dining hall even more tragic.

HAHAAHA. School bread is fantastic. I miss it.

Great report so far -- loving all the pics! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it! :goodvibes

I enjoy your love of school bread!
Also, that is very sweet that your brother wanted to watch the cartoons and eat cracker jacks with you! That makes me wish for a similar sibling moment with my sister.

Aw I hope you do! We always become so much closer in Disney. :)

Chapter 18- That's it...I'm Moving to Italy

July 26th, 2011

When I last left you all, we were checking into our second Disney meal at

dsc01975iw.jpg

YAY! I was really excited to try this place after the raving reviews I had heard from Jess and her family!

dsc01978g.jpg

The success of Italy...in one word.

We waited 5 minutes, maybe less, and we were seated by some girl (who cares what her name was? LOL) and then we were told that our server would be with us shortly.

I was very nervous. I really REALLY hoped that he was a young, strapping Italian guy.

Well...

HE WAS. :cool1: His name was Fabio from Milan, and girls he was soo attractive. This was going to be a very good meal, I could already tell. :thumbsup2

Fabio brought us some bread and oil and took our drink orders.

dsc01983nv.jpg

I believe that's red wine vinegar in the middle? Not positive, but boy this was gooood. I would have filled up on this if I didn't know that it was even more worth it to save room.

We were brought our drinks, not by Fabio, but by Luca.

I know what you're thinking.

WHO THE HECK IS LUCA?

Well, girls, Luca is in the top 10 of most good looking people I have ever seen in my entire life, right behind Leonardo DiCaprio and Ryan Gosling. Yeah, he was THAT gorgeous. He was from Rome, and he basically convinced me to move there, if my British sensibility hadn't kicked in.

I mean he called me "bella" when he gave me my drink. ("Bella" means beautiful in Italian). I was REALLY happy about this. I asked for a refill.

:rotfl:

So when I was done swooning over Luca I took a picture of our drinks.

I got an iced tea.
dsc01981r.jpg

Mike got a lemonade.
dsc01980s.jpg

And Dave got a Diet Coke, which I have a really crappy picture of that I am not going to share. Ya'al know what it looks like.

Fabio came back over and took our orders, and we chowed down on more bread while we waited for our food.

Originally, Mike ordered the Candele, which is candle-stick pasta, sausage ragu, polpettine, mozzerella and ricotta, but then he changed his order to a special that was basically seafood linguini. However, not long after we had ordered our food came, and they brought Mike's original selection.

dsc01985ll.jpg

Fabio and Luca () were really nice about it though and brought him the right thing, which was this:

dsc01989q.jpg

It was chock-ful of calamari, scallops, some JUMBO shrimp and other seafoods. It was really good! He loved it!

Here's mine:

dsc01988is.jpg

This is an INDIVIDUAL pizza. These things are seriously huge. I couldn't finish it. It's the Prociutto e Melone pizza. It's a white pizza with fontina, mozzerella, pecorino, prosciutto, arugula and cantelope. It was the perfect balance of heavy and light and fresh and hearty. Delicious! I would have eaten every bite if it weren't so darn huge!

And here's Dave's:
dsc01986c.jpg

Spaghetti and meatballs. Yeah, kinda boring. Except that these meatballs were veal and sooooo good. I stole one. Really a great choice.

Once we had stuffed ourselves as much as we could, Fabio came and started talking dessert. I had known what I wanted walking in there, but after Mike and Dave took a minute to decide what they wanted, we ordered and our desserts were brought pretty quickly.

Here's mine:

Yes, those ARE zeppoles. I was soooo excited to try them! I had heard great things here on the DIS, and I really couldn't wait.

They were nice and warm when I got them, and the texture was very interesting. Almost melty, I'd say. They were FANTASTIC. They came with melted chocolate sauce. Not Hershey's out of the bottle, this stuff was for REAL. And they also came with this godly substance:

dsc01997la.jpg

Homemade. Whipped. Cream. :cloud9: This was honestly the best whipped cream I've ever had in my life. It wasn't too light or heavy and it was just the right amount of sweet. I was dunkin' my zeppoles in there like it was my job.

Mike got this:

dsc01993x.jpg

It's this sort of creamsicle type thing that isn't on any online menu. It's most relatable to the Frozen Sunshine at Beaches & Cream, I think. The gelato was very creamy and yummy, and the whole thing was light and refreshing. Definitely good after a heavy meal.

Dave got this:
dsc01995d.jpg

It's the "Ugly But Good." Personally, I don't really think it's that ugly, but whatever. It was gelato and berries and chocolate sauce I think. Delicious and refreshing, although I would probably call it the "Win-win scenario" because it was pretty AND good, IMO.

After we finished our lovely desserts, I headed out to meet up with a certain someone who you will find out about next time, while Dave and Mike stayed back to pay the bill.

Don't worry though, I said goodbye to Fabio and Luca first, and thanked them for the excellent service.

Overview of Via Napoli:
Food: 5/5- Everything was fantastic! Definitely a great addition to World Showcase!
Service: 5/5- HELLO. <3 <3 Besides their extremely unrealistic good looks, Fabio and Luca were very prompt, knowledgable about the menu, gracious, and very friendly!
Atmosphere: 5/5- I loved the 3 huge ovens and how it felt like you were eating in a giant kitchen with a big family. It was great! I love open kitchens.

First visit? Yes.
Will return? HECK YES.

Mmmmmm...Italian waiters...no, FOOD! I meant Italian FOOD!

Okay, so I have to know--does cantaloupe on a pizza actually taste good? It looks delicious and everything else about it sounds perfect, but I guess my taste buds just can't imagine it:confused3. I'm just curious enough to try it, though!

Ok, so I'm a bit confused. Is this chapter about a dining review or a review of the guy waiters you had? ;) Haha jk I just have to make sure. I mean, it seemed you wrote about these guys more than you wrote about the amazing food at Via Napoli, which I shall talk about write now...

Oh, everything just seems to look better and better with every review I read about that place. Those Zeppoles are calling to me, right now, especially with the heaven's nectar, (uhh... dairy?) whipped cream :goodvibes Homemade or not it is still practically perfect in every way, or more simply said to delicious. I also see pasta and mussels, YUM! (NOT the muscles all girls seem attracted to , the good mussels, the food that you eat... yes...) I think this has totally changed my affliction to the place to go to Tutto Italia... I guess I will have to make double reservations. Oh, Prosciutto too! Seeeeeeeeeee... ;)

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

P.S. I beat Jess! Sorry had to bring this back, I'm in a good mood this week and don't slow my mojo with some other excuse -_-

Ummm... Kristen, is this TR going back in time, because I'm pretty sure you updated this today, not in August? Sorry, I'm in a sarcastic mood tonight for some odd reason, you know us Ravenclaws :)

Ok, now I know we all love food pictures here at the Dis.But how can you talk about how HOT these waiters were and not take a picture???? This is so not fair, I want my chance to drool at them too! :rotfl:

Via Napoli. :cloud9: Enough said. They didn't bring us the bread when we went, which is kinda disappointing. Well, yes and no. If I had had a chance to eat that delicious bread, then I would not have had enough appetite to eat all my most delicious pizza. And I was so full that I did not even get to try the yummy dessert you had. I think I'll need to not eat for two days before I go to Via Napoli again so I can enjoy all the wonderful food.

Yay you got a cute waiter!!!! Next time you should take a pic of them so the rest of us can see lol (Jk, i understand how weird that would seem to other people).

Your drinks look nice and refreshing!!! oh and the bread and oil/red wine vinegar look sooooo good!!!! I really want some now :) I really, really, really can't wait to eat there in january!!!!

nice that they were so great to your brother when his order got switched around, it also is a plus that the food came out quickly :) All three of your dishes look amazing!!!! I personally have my eye set right on the pizza for when i go.

ZEPPOLES!!!!!! Ever since i first laid eye on these beauties i have wanted them, so needless to say i am like you in that i know i want those when i go. Therefore i am sooooo happy to hear they are good! the stuff Dave and Mike got looked pretty good as well.

Love your critique of the waiters. The hotness would be my first comment as well :)

YUM! That all looks soooooo good!
That pizza is freakin huge! But it looks amazing!:thumbsup2

Ohhh cute waiters in Epcot are always a bonus! I agree with the others that you have to get a sneaky photo next time. Just take photos of your surroundings until...whoops... a waiter got in the way.:rolleyes1

That whipped cream sounds incredible! And the Zeppholes! mmmmm :goodvibes

I am sooo hungry nowwww haha

Via Napoli is fantastic. Not only the food but the service is not too shabby either ;) I agree the individual size pizzas are WAY too big to even have a hope of finishing. But hey, it makes for a cheap meal to share between two people at only $16 for the one pizza. Glad you had a good experience :goodvibes

The more pics of Via Napoli's food I see the more I can not wait to eat there, I wish we were going to be in Disney longer, I would love to go to Via Napoli twice once for pizza and once for pasta.
Love your pics and review!

Mmmmmm...Italian waiters...no, FOOD! I meant Italian FOOD!

:rotfl2: Love it. So true.

I'm SO glad Via Napoli lived up to your expectations!! It sounds like you really really loved it, so I'm glad! Everything looks delicious... and I sort of want to get the spaghetti next time believe it or not :rotfl: The meatballs are yummy.

Hahaha I LOVE the waiters there. They are beautiful.

What a lovely update. Thank you :wizard:

p.s. it says you updated on 8/4 :p In that case it would be august. Which wouldn't be a bad thing... but you know. Just thought I'd tell ya hahaha
