After several years now I think I am beginning to understand and use the rules. I have 2 memberships, titled slightly different, same resort, different use year.
Last year I ended the year with a few unused points. Bad planning on my part.
This year I needed 2 separate reservations, 2011 use year. Before making any reservation, I transferred the excess 2011 use year points from the first account to the second account membership.
Then I made the reservations. No need to worry about any leftover points in the first account. I have used my 2011 transfers, but I won't have any 2011 points left anyway after making both reservations.
I also don't need to worry about the " can't borrow or bank transferred points rule". The points have all been used for the 2011 reservations.
