We're going to be at MK on a crowd level 9 day. We can't change the day so we're going to make the best of it! I made a personalized touring plan and it's showing almost all of my wait times to be under 15 minutes if I follow it (with the exception of a 22 minute and 28 minute wait). This has us doing 19 attractions between rope drop (8:00) and 6:00 PM. Is Touring Plans leading me astray or is this really possible on a level 9 day? Has anyone else used a Touring Plan on a level 9 or 10?

We always go when the crowd levels are high and we very, very rarely wait more than 20 minutes for anything. So, yes, with a good touring plan it's totally possible.

Without looking at your plan there is no way to know for sure and even then - no way to know for sure as all crowd calendars and touring plans are going off of projections. I've used touring plans once - first big trip with family years ago and had great success. Now we know what we like and other than using the crowd calendar and recommended parks - we can plan without it. Unfortunately we now can only go during 9 and 10 crowd days around the holidays. With a good strategy, we don't often wait very long - so it sounds probable.

I would caution that anything can happen - from WDW side (ride being down, etc.) to your own personal side (extra bathroom break, kids too tired to keep up the pace, etc.) that throws off the plan. So, just know you may have to adapt a little on the go.

Thanks for the feedback! Going with a first time visitor and it's been a while since I've toured with such commando style!

We always go when it's crowded, summer & Spring break, and always use Touring Plans.com. I don't know if we have done a 9 day, but we have done 8. TP rarely leads me astray. Have faith and trust it. You won't regret it. We have used TP 3 times at WDW (twice with FP+), DLR, and Universal. Will be using it again for Star Wars Weekends 2016. We always use the personalized plans that gave been optimized.

I was at MK over Easter Week 2015 on a crowd level 10 day. My roommate and I hit rope drop for morning EMHs and used the adult standard touring plan. We got a tone done in a short time with very little wait. This is how our day went:

We rope dropped MK at 6:55 AM. We walked on Space Mt, Buzz, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Small World, Haunted Mansion. Then I used my FP+ for 7DMT at 9:00, waited 30 minutes for Jungle Cruise at 9:15. Next we used FP+ for Splash, had a snack, then FP+ for Big Thunder. While my roommate used her FP+ for 7DMT, I went to Heritage House FP+ kiosk and got FP+ for 8:00 PM for Pirates of Caribbean. By this time it was 12:00 noon. We had lunch at Columbia Harbor House, left the park at 1:00 PM, went back to resort. It was so crowded by this time we could barely move!

We caught the bus from All Star Sports to ESPN complex for our daughters' 4:00 softball game. We had an hour long game delay due to rain. Once the game was over we booked it back to MK. The Hub was INSANE!!!! So many people! We rode Pirates, watched fireworks from the backside of the castle, had dinner at Pecos Bill's and staked out a planter box to sit on in Frontierland. We rested there and watched the Main Street Electrical Parade. Then we left. Didn't have to wait long for the bus and we got seats!

We love touringplans.com and have used it every trip. One thing to keep in mind is what you'll do if you hit a morning attraction and the posted wait time is significantly higher than what TP says you'll wait (i.e. TP say Pooh is 10 minutes and there is posted 30 wait with visible long line). In these instances, you'll want to consider how important that attraction is to you and if you want to spend the additional time that it will put you behind. Sometimes we punt and skip the attraction, hoping to circle back to it later in the day. I only apply this in the mornings since that is the most valuable touring time. In the afternoon, lines aren't growing anymore so it's not as big a deal. Also, with the TP subscription you get access to their Lines app which is great for some of your more spontaneous touring time since it posts published and estimated wait times for nearly all attractions.
